We'll Be A Legend Tonight

You're All I Need

The room was quiet but for Jack's slow breathing. I could feel his ribs moving in and out, his heart pumping.
"Hey, Clo?" He asked softly, tightening his grip on my waist.
"Yeah?" I asked, smiling involuntarily.
"You want to know what's hard? Getting a girl to like you while you're on Warped." He said.
"Why is that, Jack?" I asked.
"For starters, having sex in front of all your bandmates is weird so you can't use your dick to impress her. Then you hardly ever have time off to take her on a real date." He explained.
"Sounds like you're in a real dilemma."
"We're going on a date tomorrow during your break." He told me. The smile in his voice was audible.

"You know, my man Jack isn't the type of guy to be in a relationship- but there's always room for change, yeah?" Alex asked the crowd. Jack had kidnapped me so I could watch their set. "And this isn't something many people know, but Jack wrote this next song for a special girl with pink hair. You ready, Dallas?"
"Lazy lover
Find a place for me again
You felt it once before
I know you did
I could see it

Whiskey Princess
Drink me under, pull me in
You had me at come over boy
I need a friend
I understand

Backseat serenade
Dizzy hurricane
Oh god, I'm sick of sleeping alone
You're salty like a summer day
Kiss the sweat away
To your radio

Backseat serenade
Little hand grenade
Oh god, I'm sick of sleeping alone
You're salty like a summer day
Kiss the pain away
To your radio

You take me over
I throw you up against the wall
We've seen it all before
But this one's different
It's deliberate

You send me reeling
Callin' out to you for more
The value of this moment lives in metaphor
Yeah, through it all

Backseat serenade
Dizzy hurricane
Oh god, I'm sick of sleeping alone
You're salty like a summer day
Kiss the sweat away
To your radio

Backseat serenade
Little hand grenade
Oh god, I'm sick of sleeping alone
You're salty like a summer day
Kiss the pain away
To your radio."
I waited for them to come off stage, smirking with my arms crossed. "So I guess that song's not really about blow jobs?"
"Are we really the type of guys to write songs about blow jobs?" Alex asked as he walked away, very obviously trying to give Jack and I some alone time.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and looked into my eyes. "You're so perfect. I can't imagine a guy luckier than I am."
I leaned up and kissed him hard, my hands around his neck. "Did you really write that?"
"I did- and I wrote it about you." He grinned sheepishly. "Chloe, if I'm honest, I liked you from the first time I met you. I mean, nothing compared to how I feel now, but I wanted you. Now it's like I can't stop thinking about you, all I want is you. And I'm not a relationship guy, so I don't really know what I'm doing but I want to make this work."
I smiled again. "You have no idea how happy I am to hear that."
