Jalex One Shots

Pick Me Up Now –Jalex

Alex let out a loud sigh as he woke up with a pounding head ache. He hadn’t been drinking last night [so he couldn’t be hung over]; in fact All Time Low weren’t on tour currently so he knew that he must have caught something. He tried to get out of bed but failed and almost fell on his face so he got back into bed and reached for his phone on his bedside table.

Pressing the contact that he’d pressed many times before Alex put his phone to his ear and eagerly waited for them to pick up. “Alex why are you calling me? It’s 9am.” Jack said with a groggy tone. Alex was worried that he’d woken Jack up. “I’m not feeling well. Sorry did I wake you up?” Alex said into the phone. “It’s okay, I’ll be over soon. I have to take a shower.” Jack laughed. “Alright, thank you.”

Alex put his phone down and a smile crept onto his face. He didn’t want to spend today alone; especially when he was sick. Alex put his head back into his pillow and waited for Jack to arrive at his house.

Jack took his time with getting ready. He didn’t mean to but it took him at least 20 minutes to get his hair the way he wanted it and he never really bothered about what he wore; everything in his wardrobe seemed to match. Jack picked up some things from the store and made his way to Alex’s house as quickly as he could.

“Alex…” Jack said, drawing out the x. He’d just gotten to Alex’s house and he was sleeping [luckily Jack had a key to his house]. Jack decided that if Alex was going to wake him up then it would be okay for him to do the same thing. Alex stirred and then sat up; only to fall back onto his bed.

“Alex are you okay? Do you need something? Are you hungry?” Jack all of a sudden started panicking. He usually didn’t have to be around sick people so he wasn’t really good of taking care of them. “Can you get me some water?” Alex asked with a quiet voice.

Jack nodded his head and went into the kitchen. He filled a glass with water and then went back to Alex’s bedroom and placed the glass on his bedside table. “Thanks Jack.” Alex said with a small smile. Jack nodded his head and sat in bed beside Alex. “Let me know if you’re hungry okay.” Jack told Alex. “I don’t think I’ll be able to keep down anything that I eat. But if I get hungry I’ll tell you.” Alex smiled at Jack.

Jack starred into space for a little while whilst he tapped his fingers on the side of the bed. He didn’t really know what to do with Alex so he kept himself busy by looking at the plain colour of Alex’s bedroom wall. “Jack can you cuddle me?” Alex asked, breaking the silence. “You don’t have to…”

Jack shifted closer to Alex and carefully put his arms around him. “Jack you’re not going to break me.” Alex laughed, causing Jack to laugh as well. The two lied down so that Alex’s head was on Jack’s chest and Jack’s arms were placed around Alex’s waist.

Alex smiled and buried his face into Jack’s neck. Jack smiled and lean his head against Alex’s. The two listened to each other’s breathing patterns and they were both becoming rather sleepy. Jack was the first one to fall asleep. Alex laughed at him and made himself comfortable on the sleeping boy’s chest before falling asleep himself.
