Jessica's P.O.V
it was 3am and we had been driving for 4 hours when we finally stopped at a small park so that we could all get out and stretch As soon as we got out of the van, Jack was first to speak.
"Guys, can I speak with Jess alone for a sec?" He asked.
"Only if you do it in the van" Alex said, strenly.
"Relax, Lex. I'm not going to kill her." Jack sighed.
"Fine, but you have 20 minutes" He said through gritted teeth. Jack took my hand and we walked over to a picnic table on the other side of the park.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I spat as soon as we sat down.
"Look, Jess I-" I cut him off.
"No you look, you fucking killed someone and you expect everyone to be cool with it! Dick." I scoffed.
"Just let me explain" He sighed.
"You have 2 minuted to tell me everything." I said, coldly.
"When I first met you, I saw that you were energetic, bubbly and funny just like me, but I saw more than your beauty, but Zack got to you first. I just wanted to get your attention. Also, I thought you would replace me and the guys would like you more than me. I thought if I killed someone, you'd all be proud of me and you'd love me, but I guess not" I was shocked. Never in my life had I heard something so.. so stupid before.
"You seriously thought that killing someone would make me like you? Are you fucking crazy?! Jack, I'm absolutely terrified of you now! Just think, that poor guy had a family and friends who'll miss him! He had a life that you took away from him! Imagine how scared he was of you, Jack!" I started sobbing, he tried to hug me but I pulled away and started running back to the guys. They pulled me into a hug as soon as they saw me.
"Jess, why are you crying?" Rian asked, sounding concerned.
"He explained why he did it! He's a fucking monster!" I screamed, sobbing more.
"Tell us what he said" Zack demanded. I repeated everything that Jack told me, by the time I was finished, all 3 of them were in tears.
"Dude, is that true?" Rian asked.
"Yeah" Jack whispered, it looked like he was crying as well.
"Jack, you're my best friend, how could any of us ever forget about you?" Alex said.
"You're the life of this band" Zack added.
"Look, Jack, everything I said back there was true, but I'm starting to understand why you did it now, I was looking forward to getting to know you, I really was! But now I guess we're going to be spending a lot more time together on the road" We all laughed and hugged it out, I was still scared to sleep in the same van as a murderer.
"You.. you all mean it?" Jack asked, looking happier, more like the usual Jack we see.
"Of course we do" We chourused.
I have to admit, even though I was petrified still, I knew I belonged here with the guys. They're the family I never had.
