~Alex's POV~

"Good morning, sunshine." I heard a voice whisper into my ear as a pair of arms wrapped around my waist. "Happy Valentines Day, gorgeous." A soft kiss was planted on my cheek.

"Mmm. Happy Valentines Day." I smiled, rolling over so I could face my boyfriend. Without opening my eyes, I kissed his lips lightly. "What time is it?" I moaned. I was way too tired.

"7:30. Come on, we need to get ready for school. You can have your treats tonight." Jack sat up, pulling me with him, and taking me to the shower.

"Jay, I love you, but I don't want to do anything now, I'm too tired." I whined. I didn't get much sleep last night, I kept thinking about playing my song to Jack. I know he wouldn't say anything bad about it, he was far too nice, but what if he didn't like it? I was super nervous.

"I love you too. And can't I just have a simple shower with my boyfriend?" He was stood behind me now, the water running down our bodies as he left little kisses on the back of my neck. "What shower gel should we use?" Jack asked, moving away from me to open the little cupboard full of beauty supplies.

"The mint one. That smell goes nice with your cologne." I said, pointing over to the dark green bottle.

"Good choice. That's my favourite one." He reached over for the shower gel, and carried on with our normal morning routine.



School wasn't really that bad today. Most people would hate it because it was full of soppy couples literally everywhere you looked, but I thought it was kind of cute. Some people had already received their presents from their significant others: Jaime had given Jess a beautiful necklace and was taking her out for dinner tonight, Jess had given Jaime a watch, Rian had brought Cass a gorgeous dress that she shown me a photo of, and Cass had given Rian some super expensive aftershave. Vic and Alan were on their own, and Zack was meeting up with Tay tonight. I couldn't wait to see what surprises Jack had for me. And I wanted to play the song, but I my stomach was tied in knots over it.

"Vic said he's not doing anything tonight, so you can hang out with him if you want." Jack said to me whilst we were sitting in our last lesson, music.

"Why? I'm meant to be spending today with you." I replied.

"You will be, dumbass. But I need to get everything ready." He rolled his eyes and smiled his goofy smile. "Get to my house for 7. It's a date, so wear something nice." He rubbed circles into my thigh. "No wait, scrap that, you always look nice. Come in whatever, you'll look beautiful even if you wore a bin bag."

"Okay, so basically, I just need to scrub up good?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

"Yeah. I hope you like everything."

"I'll love it. I hope you like what I've got planned, too."

"I will."

The bell rung, and everyone started making the way out of the classroom.

"7 o'clock. Don't forget. I love you." Jack connected his lips with mine for a quick kiss.

"I won't. I love you too." I said after he pulled away. Then he left the room, blowing me one last kiss. I always thought that blowing kisses was super cheesy, and that's why he did them. He sure loved to annoy me.



"Hey man." I heard Vic's voice from behind me as I waited in the car park for him.

"Hey Vic!" I turned around to face him, a grin on my face. Vic was a cool guy.

"So do you wanna come back to mine? I've heard that you've wrote a song for Jack, huh? I have some guitars you can practise on, if you want."

"Yeah, that sounds cool. How did you know?" I asked, as we started to walk in the direction of Vic's house.

"Well, Jess told Jaime, and me and Jaime have no secrets, so he had to tell me. It was the rules." He let out a small laugh.

"Does Jack know?" I asked, panicked.

"No, don't worry, man, it's just us. None of us would do that to you. You're pretty brave, performing a song in front of someone so special. I can't even perform anything in front of Mike!"

"Wait, you write?"

"Yeah, I've been doing it for a few years now." Vic said, using his fringe to hide his face.

"That's so cool! Maybe we could show each other some songs?"

"That would be great." He looked up and smiled at me. "Maybe not tonight, I don't think I'm ready to share anything yet, but definitely soon."

"Yeah, take your time, only do it when you're ready." I smiled back.

"Thanks, Alex. You're pretty rad."

"You're pretty rad, too." I said as we continued walking to Vic's house.


We spent most of the night sitting on the beach playing songs. Vic had 2 acoustics, so we had a little jam session. He was really good, and he voice was epic, too. I just wished that he would be more confident with himself.

"Tonight's been great, but I think I need to go now." I said, handing Vic his guitar. It was 6pm, and I still needed to get ready.

"Sure, I hope you have a great date." He wished me luck, before I headed home.



When I arrived at my house, I hopped in the shower for the second time today. I washed my hair, and used the mint shower gel that Jack and I both loved. Once I was out of the shower, I blow dried my hair, and straightened it. Then I used nearly a whole bottle of hairspray, making sure there wasn't a strand out of place. When I was satisfied with my hair, I started to get changed. I was wearing a white shirt, which had a black band that was situated just above my chest area, and a black collar with white triangles on the edges (it was my favourite shirt), black trousers, and a black blazer. I think I looked okay, so I grabbed my guitar, put it in its case and headed downstairs towards my car.

I turned the radio on to distract me from my nervous thoughts, and First Date by Blink was playing. I wish that I played this song when we went on our first date, I've always wanted to do that, but at the time I just forgot.

In what felt like no time at all, I was pulled up outside of Jack's house. I stepped out of the car and went around to the other side to get my guitar out. It swung limply at my side as I walked through Jack's front garden and onto the porch, ringing the bell as I approached the door. I immediately heard jumpy foot steps getting louder, before I could see the silhouette of the man I loved on the other side of the door.

Here we go.
