~Alex's POV~

Today I'm allowed to leave this hospital I've been stuck in for days, and I'm super excited. I was taking Jack out for dinner tonight, so I needed to take him to the mall to buy that really cute outfit I'd seen in one of the windows. To say I was nervous would be an understatement; I'd never taken anyone on a date before, what if I mess it all up?

In my head, I had been debating whether I should tell someone that it was Tyler and his friends that attacked me last week. If I told someone, they would come looking for me and beat me up, but if I kept quiet, they would probably attack me again. I couldn't win. I don't want to keep secrets from Jack, lying in a relationship always ends badly, but I can't help but think that I should just keep it to myself. I have no evidence that it was them anyway.

"What are you thinking about?" Jack asked as he packed up the last of my things.

"I'm just excited to get out of here." I lied quickly. I was terrible at thinking on the spot. "Why?"

"You just look a bit spaced out." He looked concerned.

"No, I'm all good." I smiled. "Ready?"

"Yup, let's go." He swung my bag over his shoulder and reached out for my hand. "There's a cab outside already waiting for us. It's going to your house so you can drop your things off then it's taking us to the mall."

"Sounds great. How are you so organised?"

"Oh, believe me, I'm not organised at all. Have you seen my room?" He laughed. Jack's room was a tip, there was no denying it. I didn't even know what colour the carpet was, you couldn't see any of it.

"That's true." I joined in with his laughing as we stepped into the cab.



Once we dropped off my bags, we headed straight to the shopping centre. I had picked up some money for Jack's outfit, and some spare too, in case I spotted anything that took my fancy. The first shop I took Jack to was the shop I had seen his outfit in.

"No, Alex, you can't take me in here, it's too expensive!" He crossed his arms and stood in front of the door like a child.

"Watch me." I quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek and grabbed his hand, literally pulling him into the shop. It took all my strength, and I only had one arm that I could use, but I did it. "You shouldn't make me do all that work, you know, with my arm and my broken ribs.." I gave Jack my sympathy speech.

"What? Don't talk that crap to me. I know your arms perfectly fine, I've seen you jerking off with it." He gave me an evil smirk.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I said simply, and turned around to head for the men's fashion. How did he know?

"You thought I was asleep, and I was, until your, um, moaning woke me up."

"Shut up." I gave him a playful shove into one of the shop's mannequins.

"Why didn't you just use your other arm? Your shoulder will heal all weird now."

"I'm not good with my other arm, and I don't mind if it heals weird. It's already fucked so there's nothing I can do about it now."

"I'm going to teach you how to use your other hand. You need to know this kind of stuff for the future. What if your hand gets chopped off? What are you going to do then, huh?" Jack gave me a sassy look.

"Okay, tomorrow can be dedicated to you teaching me how to jerk off better. Now shut up, or I'm going to get a fucking boner in front of everyone." I slapped his arm gently.

"Okay, I will, but next time, make sure its my hand not yours. I was right next to you, I could of helped and made it 100 times better!" He was true.

"Fine. But I wanted you to sleep, you barely had any when you stayed with me! I was just looking out for my boyfriend." I gave an innocent smile.

"Right, now where's that outfit that you promised?" Jack rubbed his hands together and smiled.

"Come with me." I wrapped my arm around his waist as we browsed the store.



We were currently sitting in Taco Bell, one of my favourite places in the world. I had brought Jack's outfit, a simple red shirt with a skinny black tie and black trousers, which made his butt look amazing. He looked perfect in it, and I felt like the luckiest man on the planet to have him all to myself. I already had clothes picked out that I was going to wear tonight, so I didn't need to worry about that. I brought a Green Day shirt from Hot Topic, but that was it.

"Are you ready to go home?" I asked, finishing up the last of my burrito.

"Hmm." Jay hummed in response, savouring his last bite. "God, I love this place so much." He moaned.

"Same." I agreed. "But we can't stay here forever. Come on, let's go and snuggle on my couch and drink hot chocolate."

"I thought you'd never ask." Jack leaned in for a little kiss, which tasted of hot sauce, and we left the mall together.
