Wendy, run away with me?
Don't leave me alone! (Prologue)
Wendy’s POV:
“Alex! Don’t go!” I whined like a three year old.
“I’m sorry Wendy, but this is an one-time chance.” He stated. In the past two years, Alex, Jack, Zack and Rian formed a band called All time low. They performed in random places in Baltimore, some times they’d tour around the area. But this time, they had to tour out of the country, far far away to perform more shows and to also record their EP. They told me about this last week. I was devastated, mad, angry, sad and most of all depressed. They were my only friends in Dulany High and I had no one else.
They would always be there for me, no matter what, they would be by my side. Them leaving was like heaven kicking me out. I just could bear a day without them. How will I survive a year? Also, when they would come back, it would be time for college, so I might not be in Baltimore. Life is just not fair!
They were leaving right now. I tried by best not to cry, but my body failed me. I hugged Alex and cried into his shoulder while all the others were putting the bags into the bus. I was closest to Alex, he was there for me when the others were busy.
“Wendy…. Don’t cry! You’re gonna make me cry!” He whispered as he hugged me back. I just couldn’t leave him. I kind of had a little crush on him and knowing that he could get hurt any moment was like hell to me.
“Okay love birds. Break it up. She’s our friend too!” Jack said as he separated us and hugged me.
“Please… Jack! I have no body!” I mummbled into his shirt. He just whispered that I would be fine and that I had Jasey, Holly and Stella.
“NO! It’s just not the same! They don’t understand me like you do!” I cried. I hugged all the others then I went back Alex. I hugged him again and this time the hug was longer. I wanted this moment to last forever, but no, Matt had to interrupt it.
“Come on Alex, we’re leaving!” Matt yelled. I just glared at him and looked back at those caramel eyes. So much perfection in one human, it’s un-bearable. I got lost in them, I kept staring until Alex did something did not expect him to do, he kissed me, not on the cheek or the forehead, on the lips.
I was so shocked but I kissed him back right away. I felt sparks fly all around and butterflies swarm in my stomach. I was in paradise. We pulled away and he whispered, “You don’t know how long have I been waiting to that.”
I nodded my head quickly, forgetting that they were leaving until Matt came over and pulled on his shirt. “Sorry Wendy, but we have to leave, bye!”
“I’ll be back! I promise! I’ll save you from this hell hole! We’ll tour together! Live in a big mansion by the ocean! I promise you, I’ll be back!” Alex yelled as Matt pulled him towards the bus.
The next moments happened in a blur. Alex hopping onto the bus, them yelling good bye and the bus leaving. I dropped to the ground crying for hours until my dad came and took me into the house.
He’ll be back, he promised…
