In my head, thousands of different thoughts swarm, all in different directions and with varied contents attached; some of hope and others of wonder, they all seized abruptly when I felt your hot, minty breath against my lips, your beautiful eyes focused on mine as your hands gripped my wrists.

"Let's run away together, Jack," you spoke in a low whisper, the sound coming from your lips being defeaning; I could only feel you, my eternal flame. "Run so far no one will know us; no one will judge us," you continued, managing to inch your body closer to mine, merging our flesh until we were one. "I'm so in love with you."

In that moment, my whole body froze, even if the fire, that you fed, inside of me was more abravise than ever; I could feel its flames lick my cheeks, my wrists, and every inch of skin that was connected to you, even through the tissue of your clothes. It took me a while to gather my thoughts, to order them correctly inside of my head so I could finally confess you all of the torturous emotions I had contained, for you; however, in that moment, you spoke again.

"Haha, got'cha!" You told me, your voice returning to its usual pitch as you dettached yourself from me. "April's Fools!"

My whole body became a pile of ashes, as I heard that; even if the flame was still alive, it composed a fire of burning pain, that was only lit by the tiny shatters of my broken heart - my first, and my last.

I made the decision in a split second, but you could have never seen it; I was as expressionless as I had always been, my face a blank page on a book no one could decipher, especially now that it was falling into nothing, burning into eternity.
