Everything's Magic

Room To Breathe

Today was Monday, meaning school. Jack grumbled as his alarm went off and Alex groaned as he cuddled Jack further, his head in the crook of his to get away from the loud sound.

"Jack, turn it off." He moaned, clinging on tighter to him. Jack sighed softly, opening his eyes hesitantly. Already he wanted to close them again, but he had school.

"I would if you'd let me go." He said over the still beeping alarm. Alex slowly let him go, and he got off the bed, going over to turn his alarm off.

The funny thing is that he placed his alarm on the other side of the room to wake him up and make him get up, whereas if he didn't place it across the room, he wouldn't get out of bed.

Once he saw Alex still curled up and cuddling the covers, he smiled to himself.

He felt so lucky to have such a precious, beautiful boyfriend. Everything about him was flawless and sometimes, he envied that fact. He wanted to be flawless, instead of having a lanky body and big nose that only just fitted his face and looked alright. He didn't understand why everyone found him so amazing.

Sighing, he moved over to his sleepy boyfriend, gently kissing his neck.

"Wake up, bitch face." He mumbled against his neck. Alex let a little smile make its way to his lips.

"Mmm, morning to you, too." He turned around to face Jack, despite wanting to wake up.

Jack kissed him on the forehead, giving him a cheeky smile.

"Up." He ordered, chuckling.

"Ew, school." Alex grumbled, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Jack chuckled, shaking his head as he went over to his woredobe.

"Do you wanna borrow some clothes?" He asked, turning around to Alex. He nodded, and Jack searched through his woredobe for something decent for Alex.

Finding a pair of jeans and a plain black shirt, Jack threw the clothes at Alex face, laughing at his facial expressions.

"Thank you, dickhead." Alex mumbled, but a little smile appeared on his face. He was surprised he woke up in a good mood, normally he would be shouting at his mother, himself or an object. He could be a ball of anger sometimes. He guessed the good mood was because Jack was there for the past two days when he woke up. Waking up first thing on a Monday and seeing your beautiful boyfriend smiling at you is the most amazing thing ever.

Jack excited the room to go to the toilet and get dressed, leaving Alex to do the latter in his room.

On the way there, he felt a harsh sting at his heart as he remembered the previous night. The sad news.

He shook his head, deciding to worry about that later and not let it ruin his day, even though it was very important and sad. He also decided that he needed to visit his dad, even if he didn't feel welcomed. No matter what, Jack wanted to tell his dad he loves him one last time.

After getting dressed, he wondered downstairs to make him and Alex some breakfast, only to stop when a strong smell of food filled his nostrils. He confusedly walked into the kitchen, finding no other then Alex at the cooker, cooking what he assumed by the smell, bacon.

"Alex, stop being such a perfect human being." He groaned light heartedly, walking up to his boyfriend, giving a peek look at what he was cooking. Bacon. He was right. He gave Alex a kiss on the cheek.

"Not as perfect as you." Alex argued, smugly.

"I'm not the one making bacon on a Monday morning." Jack smirked. Alex rolled his eyes, checking on the bacon.

Arriving near school, Jack slowly let go of Alex's hand, giving him a fearful, yet apologetic look. Alex didn't understand why let go of his hand, so he looked at him with confusion.

"Not yet." Jack simply said, sighing as he started walking again. Alex slowly followed behind him, still confused. His mood slowly started to drop, but he told himself not to get upset, and that Jack was probably still upset by the news he received yesterday.

~~~
The first few lessons were boring and uneventful. Everyone was tired and angry. Alex just sat by himself, not saying a word to anyone.
Meanwhile, Jack was surrounded by sad thoughts. He tried to focus on other things, but it didn't work. He found himself slowly drowning everything around him out and he, unwillingly, focused on his thoughts. But before he could fall deep into them, the bell saved him. He quickly got up and got out the classroom. He walked down the hall quickly, trying not to bump into anyone. He luckily didn't bump into anyone.
He arrived at his science class. He wanted to turn back around and not step into the room, but a certain Alex came beside him.
"Go in, then. What are you waiting for? Christmas?" He chuckled, but once he saw that Jack wasn't finding it amusing, his smile disappeared. Jack sighed, walking into the classroom. Alex followed, a frown set upon his face.
The teacher didn't say anything as they sat down. Jack's head went straight down on his arms that were on the table. He let out a deep breath.
Thoughts of never saying goodbye to his father put him in tears. He loved his father with everything, but it seemed like he never had time for him anymore, which was understandable. But it saddened him that he can't even remember his last words. He needed to know.
"Jack?" He heard Alex whisper to him.
Why didn't he visit him earlier? Why was I so concerned on not being welcomed by my own dad? Of course he wanted to see me! I'm such an idiot!
"Jack." Alex said softly, and Jack felt his hand on his back in a calming matter. His head instantly shot up, tears still falling down his eyes and his nose a little snotty.
"Don't touch me." He said strictly, dismissing Alex's painful expression as he got up.
"Jack what's wrong?" Alex grabbed Jack's hand, ignoring his previous order not to touch him.
"I said don't fucking touch me." Jack gritted through his teeth, ripping his hand out of Alex's grip, giving him a glare before exiting the classroom. The teacher didn't do anything about it, just ignored it and carried on with the demonstration.
Alex groaned, but at the same time worrying what was wrong with his boyfriend. He decided that he needed to give Jack some time to himself as his family problem was tragic.
Just give him a little room to breathe.
