Bucket list

Alex woke up, stretching his arm out to pull Erin closer to him before realising she wasn't there. Before he had time to wonder where she was he was under the bed picking up the piece of paper he had dropped there earlier. He took in a short breath before unfolding it and reading the list.

Bucket List 12/4/2014

1) Go to Paris
2) Go on a road trip
3) By a beach house
4) Throw a dart at a map and travel wherever it lands
5) Sleep under the stars
6) Volunteer at a children's hospital
7) Get a dog
8) Get a tattoo
9) Learn how to play guitar
10) Record a video diary of my life
11) Make sure Alex is the happiest he can possibly be before I leave

He felt his heart drop reading the 11th point, and he lifted his hand to wipe a tear away which had fallen onto his cheek.
'Right,' he whispered staring down at the list once more, 'Time to get started.'
