The show came to an end way too soon. "Good night Charlotte, hope to see ya soon!" Alex said, and they headed off stage. I turned around to head back to the entrance. "Wait, Bridget," Blake said. "I'm gonna try to find the bathroom before we leave."
"Okay," I responded, and I followed him. I turned around to look back at the stage. Wow. I had finally seen my idols. I stopped and thought about how I couldn't wait to tell Bradley about the night. Maybe then he'd be happy for me and we'd get back to the way we used to be. I turned back around to follow Blake, but he was nowhere in sight. God damn it, I thought to myself. Mom's gonna be so pissed if I get lost. So I headed in the general direction that he had been going before I turned back to look at the stage. I went through a door, and there was a sign for the Restrooms that pointed to the right. I went that way, but after walking for five minutes, I was even more lost. I started singing the words to Dear Maria, the last song that they played. I took out my phone to text Blake, and that's when I heard a voice. "Hey, you're not suposed to be back here."
Shit. "Yeah sorry, I'm just trying to find my broth-" I turned around, and before I could finish my sentence, I gasped. "Oh my God." It was him! Alex Gaskarth was standing right in front of me, not even five feet away. "Oh my God, oh my God." I couldn't get anything else out.
"I heard you singing, and you weren't too bad," Alex said with a smile.
"Oh my God." God, you're such and idiot Bridget. "I mean, thanks."
"But yeah, you're still not suposed to be back here. Do you need help finding someone?"
"Y-yeah, my brother was going to the bathroom and I got mixed up in the crowd and we got seperated.
"Oh okay, I know where the bathrooms are, I'll take you th-"
"ALEX."
No. This cannot be happening.
Alex grinned. "JACK! Over here." Jack came running down the hallway, but stopped short when he saw me. "Uh, you're not suposed to be back here."
"I've heard," I said. I couldn't believe my luck.
"Yeah," Alex said "I was just helping her find her brother."
"Oh okay. Well, I'm gonna head back and go acquire some alcohol. Thanks for coming to our show!" Jack aimed the last part at me."
"Yeah, I mean, um, yeah no problem." I stuttered.
"So the bathrooms are up here to the right. Can you call him to see where he is?"
"I just texted him, and he hasn't responded. I'll try calling." I dialed his number, but there wasn't a response. Six rings later, I sighed and pressed end. "He's not answering." I wasn't really focused on that though. I was just so happy and shocked that I was in the presence of my idol.
"Okay, well the bathrooms are right after this tur-"' He stopped.
"Oh my God." I gasped. I started to get dizzy. "Oh my God."
There was my brother. Lying facedown on the floor, with a scary looking pool of blood around his head. Alex got out his phone and called someone, but I couldn't focus on anything because at that moment I blacked out.
