Summary
They were always together before -always. But now Jack never saw him, and he never would ever again. It wasn't something cliché and childish like them getting in a fight and Jack screwing everything up in some horrible way that he needed to just man up and apologize for, or Alex just stop talking to him out of the blue and he'd magically bump into him today when he was out for a stroll or getting his favorite meal from Taco Bell and Alex just so happened to work there now after quitting the band, no, Jack wasn't that lucky. The fact was, Alexander William Gaskarth and Jack Bassam Barakat could never be together nor friends again because Alexander William Gaskarth had been dead for the past three years.
Jack wasn't that lucky.
Characters
Alex Gaskarth
Alex is Jack's best friend who has been dead for the past three years. He died in a fire at his home along with his girlfriend, Lisa, and dog, Peyton. The only surviver of the house was his small dog Sebastian because he was big enough to squeeze through a hole in the wall. He died at 26, and is a reoccurring character in Jack's dreams. His age varies with the dreams along with Jack.
Jack Barakat
Jack is 28 when he's not dreaming. Jack's best friend, Alex Gaskarth, has been dead for three years. Jack has dreams that are mostly him reliving memories with his best friend in a way to cope with his death. Jack's age varies between dreams.
Rian Dawson (Cassadee Pope)
Rian Dawson and Cassadee Pope are Jack's best friends that he hasn't seen or heard from in about a year. After the band stopped, because no one could go on without Alex, Rian tried to keep in touch with his friend who he knew was taking the loss harder than anyone else, but after awhile Jack seemed to fall of the grid and Rian loss touch with him. He is close to starting a family with Cassadee and wants Jack at the wedding and back in their lives.
Zack Merrick
Zack is the only one of the band that kept in touch with Jack after everyone agreed to not continue with it anymore. He occasionally visits him and listens to what his dreams -confirming weird suspicions Jack may have.
