"She's waking up, be quiet," someone demanded.

I groaned & opened my eyes, blinking a few times to get used to the light. I reached up & felt my throbbing head, groaning once more as my hand made contact.

"How are you?" Alex asked as he peered over me.

"I guess I'm fine," I said as I tried to sit up. Alex only pushed me back down by my shoulders.

"What do you remember?" Zack asked from somewhere above me.

"If you let me sit up, I'll tell you," I said. Alex sighed & removed his hands from my shoulders. I sat up slowly, & I closed my eyes as my head throbbed faster. I sat there for a minute as the intense throbbing turned into a dull ache, & I opened my eyes again. I scanned the area, my eyes landing on Jack, & my heart broke all over again.

"C'mon, tell us," Alex said.

"I want Jack gone first. Please," I said. He looked at me & gave me a confused look. I quickly looked away, dropping my gaze to the floor.

"Why?" Rian asked. I looked at him & bit my lip. Rian nodded & faced Jack.

"Do you mind leaving?" Rian asked him.

"Yeah I mind," Jack said defensively as he stood up.

"Well I don't. I would really appreciate it if you left," I said, looking up at him. Jack narrowed his eyes at me & slowly made his way off the bus. Once the door was closed, I took a deep breath.

"So.. last night was... devastating," I started. Alex looked at me peculiarly.

"What happened?" He asked.

"I.. I was sitting in a chair at the party.. just sitting... &- I don't know guys, this is pretty dumb," I said.

"Just tell us," Zack said softly.

"I got jealous, alright," I said. Alex raised his eyebrows at me & looked at Rian.

"What did you see?" Alex asked.

"Jack & Jenna. They were kissing," I said shamefully. I placed my head in my hands & groaned again before looking up.

"Look, I know it's stupid b-"

"Just talk to him, Rebecca. Tell him how you feel, because I promise you he feels the same," Alex said.

"Remember what I told you the other day?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

"Yes. But you need to build up your courage, alright," Alex said, & he knelt in front of me, taking my face in one hand, "you can do it, Rebecca."

"No I can't!" I said.

"Fine. Believe that, but know this. If you don't tell him, he won't know that you feel the same. Therefore, he'll get over you, and he'll go after other girls. Take my word for it, don't take my word for it, it's all up to you," Alex said. He released my face & stood up, leaving the bus.

"We'll see you later, Rebecca," Zack said, & he & Rian left the bus. Jack entered after they left, & I avoided his eyes.

"We need to talk, Rebecca," he said sternly. I looked up & hesitated before nodding. I stood up & Jack led me to the back lounge where it was a little more private & comfortable.

"Sit down," he said. I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Please," he added. I placed myself on the leather couch, & Jack sat next to me awkwardly.

"What do you want to talk about, Jack?" I asked quietly.

"You," he said. I looked at him & sighed.

"I... I have something to tell you, Jack," I said, meeting his gaze.

"I'm sure it can wait. But.. I want to know what you told Alex, Rian, and Zack," Jack said.

"No! I refuse to tell you," I said.

"Why?"

"Because," I replied.

"Because wh-"

"Because it's about you!" I said angrily, cutting Jack off & making him sigh.

"What about me?" He asked & he stood so he was towering over me.

"I honestly don't think you should kno-"

"Tell me, god damnit!" Jack barked. I jumped away from him, bringing my hands up to my chest. I stared into his eyes as a thick silence fell between us.

My bottom lip quivered, "No," was all I said, & I stood up & shoved him out of my way. However, he grabbed my wrist & turned me to face him.

"Let me go," I demanded as my voice cracked. Then Jack did something that startled me. He begged.

"Please, Becca. Please tell me," he said with a sad expression.

"No," I repeated with a whisper.

"Jack!? Where are you?" A feminine voice asked. Jack pushed me away, & he left without another word. Once the door closed, I let out a sob, & I collapsed onto the couch.

I was pathetic.
