Saturday rolled around quickly.

Jack and I were having Jordan over, and they were both going to meet each other for the first time. Then it hit me. The fact that we're going to be making official decisions for the next nine to sixteen months; depending on how long everything took.

So when Jordan arrived, I was bouncing on the balls of my feet. I let him in, gathered Jackie up, and we all sat on the couch, Jordan in a recliner.

"It's nice to see you again, Rebecca. It's been a few weeks," Jordan said, and I nodded with a smile.

"It has. Well, this is my fiance, Jack. Jack, this is Jordan," I said. They smiled at each other and shook hands across the coffee table.

"Alright. Have you got your guest list?" Jordan asked.

"Yes I do. I'm not quite finished with it yet, so I'll keep it just until I know I've got everyone," I said.

"Perfect. So we'll start with dates and venues. Do you have a date?" Jordan asked. I looked at Jack.

"Since he's been bouncing around states for three months, we haven't decided on a specific date," I said. Jordan nodded.

"Well, what month is it now?" He asked.

"September," I replied. He nodded.

"Well, we could uh.. get married in June of 2015?" Jack asked.

"If you both want," Jordan said. I nodded.

"June sounds great. What day were you thinking baby?" I asked.

"How about the seventeenth?" Jack asked.

"That's great! I'd love a summer wedding," I said, and I laced my fingers through Jack's. Jordan smiled and wrote down the date, as he was taking notes for us.

"Okay. Next... do you want separate locations for the ceremony itself and the reception?" Jordan asked.

"What do you think would be better?" Jack asked.

"Me personally... one location for both, because it's less travel and less money to spend for your budget to pay one more limousine driver," Jordan said, and I raised my eyebrows.

"That's true," I said, looking up at Jack.

"So, is that a one location answer?" Jordan asked.

"I think so," Jack replied, and Jordan nodded as he wrote that down as well.

"Okay. That's it for today, but I'm giving you guys homework. You should research photographs, bands, florists, and also caterers. If I were you, I'd keep their contact information just in case you like what you see, alright?" Jordan asked.

"Should we get in contact with them as soon as we can?" I asked.

"You should, yes.. but don't hire them right away," he said, and Jack and I nodded as Jordan stood and collected his things. We bid our goodbyes, and I walked Jordan to the door, letting it close behind him.

"I don't like the way he looks at you," Jack said bluntly.

"What?" I asked, turning around to look at him.

"Like, he looks at you like you're the best thing in the world," he said.

"Jack, he's my friend, okay? He's been over a few times to talk about nothing but the wedding, alright? He looks at me like a friend," I said, placing my hands on my hips.

"I don't trust him, Becca," Jack said.

"Just because he's a male wedding planner? And what if we had hired a female? Do you think she'd look at you like how you think Jordan looks at me?" I asked. Jack just stared at me and shook his head.

"Good. Now let's drop the topic, okay?"

"Okay," Jack said, and he pulled me into his arms. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and we stood there for a minute, holding the embrace before stepping out of it.
