Jack & I stepped off the bus & into the warm evening sun.

"What did you want to talk about?" Jack asked.

"What's wrong? Why are you so pissy?" I asked.

"I don't think you deserve to know. You wouldn't tell me what was wrong," he countered.

"We're not fourteen, Jack! Just fucking tell me," I said, probably a little too harshly. He sighed & shook his head.

"Whatever it was.. was it my fault?" I asked. Jack didn't meet my gaze, but he nodded.

"What did I do, Jack?" I asked softly. He looked down & I noticed he was staring at my chest.

"Keep your eyes up, Jack," I said sternly. He finally met my eyes.

"You weren't telling me that when you were undressing in there," he said, scrunching up his eyebrows in the process.

"You're sick," I spat, & I slapped him, right across the cheek. I turned on my heel & went for the door, sending Jack one last glare before entering the bus. I made my way to the lounge, & I sat down next to Alex, fuming.

"What's up?" Vinny asked from across the small area.

"Jack's being a dick," I said, & I saw him sneak back into the bunk area out of the corner of my eye. Vinny snorted, & my eyes shot up to him.

"It's not funny," I said angrily.

"Look... Jack-"

"Oh! Look at the time! Time for bed!" Alex interrupted, & he pulled me up & to my bunk.

"It's not even seven, Alex," I said, wrenching my arm out of his grasp.

"I know. I need to tell you something, & you're not stopping me," he said.

"Okay. Shoot," I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Jack likes you. That's why he's being such a 'dick,'" Alex said, "he's jealous that Zack gave you a piggy-back ride." I scrunched my eyebrows together at how ridiculous that sounded as butterflies filled my stomach.

"Alex! What the fuck!?" Jack said as he emerged from his bunk. My eyes widened.

"You're fucking lying," I said with a sigh, & I ducked into my own bunk, yanking the curtain shut.

"Good fucking job, Alex. Just fucking announce everything that's a god damn secret to everyone! Especially to the person I wanted to keep that a secret from until the end-of-tour party. Thanks, you dick," Jack said, making tears well up in my eyes. They spilled over, & I sniffed, hearing Jack sigh after.

The curtain of my bunk was pulled open, & I felt my blanket get pulled off. I was then picked up, & I wrapped my arms around Jack's neck, & I buried my face into his collar bone. He set me down, & I pressed my body up against his. I was forced to bury my head into his chest, as I wasn't very tall, & he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me just a little bit closer.

"I'm sorry, Jack," Alex said, " I just couldn't keep the secret."

"Obviously," Jack said, anger evident in his voice.

"I'm gonna let the both of you get sorted out. Sound good?" Alex asked. It was silent as I heard Alex's retreating footsteps, & once he was gone, Jack gently pushed me away. I let my arms fall to my sides, & I stared up at him.

"So..." I said awkwardly, trying to think of something to say.

"Are you okay?" Jack asked, eyes filled with concern.

"Yeah... but uh... ummm," I said, tearing my gaze away from his.

"But what?" He questioned.

"I can't... I can't say," I said, scrunching my eyebrows up.

"Why not?" Jack asked as he took a step forward, closing the small distance between us.

"I just can't," I said, making Jack sigh. I turned away from him, & he grabbed my arm gently. I pulled it out of his loose grip & returned to my bunk. I pulled the curtain closed, & I rested my head on my pillow.
