You Had Me At Hello

Back to school. Fucking great. I don't particularly mind school itself, its the people in it and the fact I need to get up early eww. Anyway, as I said to Alex, I was going to find him someone. I just had to find the right person, this might be harder than I thought. Shit.
"Rebecca. You okay there?" Rian asked me as I walked in to the third person this morning
"Yeah. Just thinking" I laughed
"Your new challenge?" He asked and I nodded. "You can do it. Trust me" he laughed and helped me dodge a group of freshman who were standing beside a class. We were walking to our lockers, which where beside each others. The rest of the guys had walked to music to sit before the bell went. "Will you stop worrying about the Alex thing?" Rian laughed as I started into my locker, blankly
"I'm not" I snapped into reality, laughing
"Well, what's going on then?" He asked me, shutting his locker and leaning on it
"You won't tell anyone?" I smiled at him
"Nope. Well, if you've murdered someone I'll need to tell someone" he laughed. I glared at him for a second. "Okay, I promise" he held his hands up in surrender.
"Jack told me he loved me" I smiled and rocked back and forth on my feet
"He what!?" Rian asked, his eyes wide, but he was smiling so.
"He told me he loved me" I laughed at one of my best friend's faces
"When?" He laughed and hugged me
"May's party" I replied
"No one knows?" He asked me
"Well. Me and Jack, obviously, but only you and May know. Well, that I know of anyway" I shrugged. "He's probably told Alex because, well its Jack and Alex" I laughed
"Yeah. I suppose" Rian laughed too. "Right, we better get to class" he smiled and draped his arm over my shoulders.

"Miss Merrick. Are you even listening?" My history teacher broke my chain of thoughts
"Yes miss" I replied, twirling my pen in my fingers
"What was I just explaining?" She asked me, smugly. Rian subtly pushed his notepad towards me and I glanced over the page.
"Hitler's rise to power" I answered, just as smugly as she asked me
"Hmm. Well pay attention" she said defeated. Rian put his fist up and I bumped it
"Thanks Ri" I smiled as the teacher turned back round to the board. We managed to survive that period of torture and soon enough the bell went. We all had music together next, and I had a plan.

"Mr Hastie?" I asked as I walked in the class
"Yes, Rebecca. What can I do for you?" He smiled at me
"Are we doing the partner work thing today?" I asked him as I reached his desk. He nodded. "Can you pair me with Holly?" I asked. He was quiet for a moment. "Please?" I dragged out the word
"Okay. Since you asked nicely. Now go sit down" he laughed and I walked to the back of the class where the guys were. They thought I had just got into the class so I didn't have to explain why I was speaking to John, fantastic.
"Right. We're doing partner work today. I'm choosing the pairs, no arguments" Mr Hastie announced. He went through the class and paired everyone up. I walked over to Holly.
"Hey" I smiled at her
"Hi" she smiled back. All we had to do was discuss ideas for a presentation on a band or singer. "What were you thinking we could do the presentation on?" She asked me as I got my notebook out. I glanced at her shirt, this plan was going my way. Fuck yes.
"Green Day?" I asked
"Sure! You've got the right partner for this then" she laughed. Because all we had to do this period was decide on how we'd do the presentation and who we'd do it on, Holly and I finished rather quickly so we had the rest of the time to talk about random shit.
"Do you want to sit with us at lunch?" I asked her, knowing she didn't have a particular group to sit with. She was a social butterfly
"Uh. Yeah, if you're sure" she awkwardly answered
"Course I am" I smiled at her. "When do you want to start the project?" I asked
"Whenever. I'd ask if you wanted to come round but my parents have house guests" she sighed
"You can come back to mine whenever. I mean, as long as you don't mind them being there" I nodded towards my brother and his friends
"Nope. Not at all" she smiled. "What do you think they'll be doing their presentations on?" She asked
"Alex and Jack will probably do Blink, Zack and Josh might do Fall Out Boy but I don't know what the rest of them'll do. We'll get it out of them though" I giggled and the bell went. I had the rest of the classes before lunch with Jack. Luckily, they went in really fast so it didn't bother me.

"Holly!" I shouted Holly as she looked around the cafeteria. She spotted me and I waved her over
"What're you doing?" Zack asked me, confused
"I said she could sit with us. I need a girl to talk to" I laughed and moved up the bench so Holly could sit beside me, and opposite Gaskarth.
"Hey Holly" Jack said as she sat beside me
"Hi" she shyly said to no one in particular
"I like your shirt" Gaskarth said to her, she slightly blushed
"Uh..thanks" she smiled at him
"So, what're you two doing your presentation on?" Josh asked Holly and I
"Green Day" we said at the same time. Gaskarth suddenly paid more attention. "You?" I asked Josh
"Fall Out Boy" he answered. I turned to Holly, nodded and laughed. She laughed too. "What?" Josh asked, confused
"I knew you'd do that" I smiled at him. "Holly, can you come to the bathroom with me?" I asked, she nodded and we stood up. Jack grabbed my wrist before I walked away. "Yes Jacko?" I smiled down at him, he pouted and I pecked his lips. "Love you" I said quietly to him
"Love you too" he smiled back at me. I left the cafeteria with Holly.

"So. What do you think of the guys?" I asked her as we got to the bathrooms. I just sat on the sinks
"Don't you need to go?" She asked and I shook my head. "Emm..they're cool" she smiled and leaned against a wall
"Don't you think Gaskarth is quite hot?" I asked her and she turned slightly red. "You do, don't you?" I smiled and she nodded
"Uhh...yeah" she shyly laughed. "Why?" She asked me
"I think you two would really hit it off. Do you want to come round tonight and start this presentation?" I asked
"Really? You think so?" She said. "Yeah, sure. Will I get you at the doors?" She asked
"I do. I think he might be over tonight too" I leaned over and nudged her. "Yeah, thats cool. We should probably get back to them now" I laughed and we walked back to the cafeteria

"You so like her" I heard Neil laugh at Gaskarth
"I do not" he answered, defensively
"Yes you do" Jack joined in. "Come on, she totally likes you too" he laughed at Alex
"Dude. Shut up" Gaskarth whispered loudly as he seen Holly and I approach.
"So. What're we talking about?" I asked and we sat down
"Oh, nothing. Just a load of crap" Gaskarth rushed. I winked at the rest of the guys who just laughed at me. "So Holly, have you seen Green Day live?" He asked Holly. They started up a conversation about Green Day, they were so engrossed in it that they weren't listening to us.
"Challenge accepted and complete" I smiled and leaned further into Jack who wrapped an arm around me as everyone smiled and started a conversation.
