"Mike, what's going on?" I ask concerned as I watch him hold Megan close while she bawls her eyes out onto his shoulder.
"Her ex was here. I just walked into the middle of it." He responds. I let out a gasp without even thinking about it and run up to them. Mike lets Megan go and allows me to hug her.
"Baby, what happened?" I ask her scared. "Please tell me!"
"I don't want to talk about it right now." Megan cries as she leaves a tear stain on my shoulder, just like she did to Mike.
"I have to get going bro." Mike says to me. "We're packing up and heading for the last show."
"Sweet, see you later." I answer, still holding Megan.
"Megan, I want you to come watch us tomorrow." Mike says, facing Megan so he can see her. "I'll get you on stage, just have Jack bring you to us ok?" She then nods her head still crying.
"Thank you." I say to him. "She'll really appreciate it. I appreciate you doing this for her, keeping her safe for me."
"Anytime." He then walks away towards the buses.
"Come on babe, let's go meet the other guys on the bus." I grab her hand and walk towards our bus. When we get on, we instantly see the others sitting on the couch.
"Hey, where were you guys?" Alex asks us.
"Doomerz was here, he upset Megan again, and I don't know what happened." I tell them.
"Is that why you ran off stage, Megs?" Rian asks her. "Alex didn't even get to show you off to the fans." She then nods.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ditch. I saw him in the crowd and instantly ran." Megan says. These were her first words that I heard since I saw her run off stage.
"No, it's ok. At least you finished your part in the song." Alex says hugging her. "He didn't hurt you right?"
"No, before he could even think about it, Mike from Pierce The Veil came up and saved me." Megan explains.
"Oh wow, that's great." Zack says. "Cheer up Megan, I'm sure whatever he said about you was not true and that he was being a moron as always."
"I hope so." She answers. The night progresses and it's time for us to go to sleep. After a few hours, I realize that I am completely unable to sleep. I pull open the curtain on my bunk and whisper to get Megan's attention who was in the bunk across from me.
"Megan you awake?" I whisper.
"Yeah, why?" She asks me, pulling her curtain open.
"I can't sleep. Can I come over?" I ask her.
"Sure." She answers. I climb carefully out of my bunk and walk over, climbing into Megan's bunk.
"How you feeling baby?" I ask her. "Why are you still awake?"
"I can't sleep." She sniffles. "I've been crying silently all night. I can't get over what Doomerz said." Just then she starts to adjust herself and I notice something, causing my face to go pale and for my jaw to drop. Her arm had fresh cuts, and I instantly tear up.
"Baby, why did you do that?" I quietly yell upset grabbing her arm revealing the cuts.
"I thought about everything Doomerz said to me tonight, and then I thought about everything he's put me through these last 4 months and honestly, I had a slip. I can't do this anymore. I love you and I love all of the other guys and the girls, but I don't deserve this." She starts to tell me as I watch her eyes fill up with tears. "I'm not worth anything I have, I need to die, I can't -" Before I could hear her hurt herself anymore, I interrupt.
'No, just no!" I yell, still keeping my voice down. "That's not true! Please, tell me what he said. What made you think about everything?"
"He basically told me that I'm a nobody and that I'm incapable of raising a baby and can't actually make anyone happy and that I'll always be a failure." She cries quietly. "I don't understand why he hates me so much. I did nothing to him, I just simply didn't want sex anymore and this is what I get. Harrassment for the rest of my life."
"Baby, none of that is true." I say hugging her and comforting her. "Not one bit of it. You deserve everything you've been given. If you didn't, I wouldn't have given it to you. Screw what he thinks. We will take care of the baby just fine. You're not a failure. You got on stage with us and made a bunch of fans from it, and trust me you make every single one of us on this bus happy. You make my family happy, and who knows what else?"
"Yeah, I guess." She sighs. "Thank you Jack. Will you lay next to me tonight?"
"Of course baby." We lay together and fall asleep for the night. Which is a shock, because I never thought I'd be able to sleep with another person in the bunk.
