I sit here with a drink in hand and then I realize, Megan's been gone to the bathroom for a while now, almost ten minutes really. I'm kind of starting to worry. Though, I'm sure she's ok. After a few minutes, Alex comes running to me faster than I've ever seen.
"Jack! Come quick!" Alex screams at me. "Megan's in trouble!" He grabs my hand and runs as fast as he can dragging me behind. Before I know it, we're by the bathroom. The door looks obviously kicked in, and on the ground unconcious is Megan.
"I kicked the door in! Doomerz was in there with her. As soon as I kicked it in he stormed out of the house. Tons of people are on the verge of killing him." Zack yells in anger. "Sure the door's broken now, but Flyzik understands."
"Oh my God." I fall to the ground next to Megan and instantly wrap my arms around her. I start running my fingers through her hair, kissing her on the lips and I realize that I'm in a huge panic. "Baby, please. Wake up, don't go. I love you baby, please don't leave me." I lay my head on her chest and begin to bawl my eyes out.
"Oh bro, I'm so sorry." Alex says softly. "We called the hospital right before I came to get you, so someone will be here soon. I also used Megan's phone to call her mom. Her mom is going to meet us at the hospital." While I am listening to him, I can't help but continue to cry amongst Megan's unconcious body.
After minutes that felt like hours, the cops and the paramedics were here. Everyone that had been at the party went home due to what happened, with the exception of us guys and Matt being that it is his home. The cops wanted to talk to all of us. When it came to be my turn, I walked up to them still in tears. I feel so horrible about what happened. My girlfriend leaves my sight for five minutes at her first party and she gets raped. This is all my fault.
"So son, what do you know about the incident?" The cop asks me.
"I don't know much." I start to choke on the large amount of tears. "She told me she was going to the bathroom and I noticed it had been a while and she still was gone. Alex came up to me and told me she was in trouble so I of course ran to see her and I just saw her on the ground unconcious and-" I can't do this anymore. That second I burst into tears.
"I assume you're the boyfriend." The cop responds.
"Yes, I am." I take an attempt to finish my story. "As soon as I saw her there, I fell to the ground and held her till you guys needed to talk to me."
"Alright. That's all we needed to know." The cop tells me.
"Is she going to be ok?" I ask worrying.
"Yes, she will be ok. The paramedics are taking her to the hospital now." I run over to Alex and the other guys.
"The paramedics said that if you're going to go with, you need to go over there now. They're waiting on you and they need to hurry and get her there." Alex explains as he hugs me tight.
"What about you guys?" I ask them.
"We'll find a way home, don't worry. Go. Be with your girl. She's going to need you right now." Rian answers as they all give me a quick hug. I walk over to the ambulance and hop in the back. The whole way to the hospital, I can't help but rub my fingers through her hair. After what feels like forever, we get to the hospital and they get Megan into a room. As I'm standing outside her room, a woman walks up with tears running down her face.
"Are you Jack?" The woman asks me.
"Yes, and you are?" I respond giving her a confused look.
"I'm Megan's mom." She answers. I can tell she's trying so hard to stay strong. I instantly give her a hug.
"I'm so sorry." I start to cry for the third time of the night. "I shouldn't have let her leave my sight. This is all my fault. I'm so sorry." I can't help but feel like Megan's hurt because of me.
"No, Jack. I appreciate everything you've done for Megan this last few days. She's told me everything about you. This isn't your fault. This is all that Doomerz guy. I told her that he was bad news. She wouldn't listen." She says slightly laughing under her breath. "I just hope she'll be ok."
"She will ma'am. They told me she is going to be in a coma for a couple days, but that in the end of it she will be alright." I explain. I feel so bad for her. After a few minutes, the nurse comes out and looks at us.
"Well, she's set for the night. It could be from 2 days to a week before she wakes up. That guy beat her up pretty bad, she's got various bruises, a couple broken bones, along with some vaginal tearing which will take tons of time to heal. We'll have to go in and stitch it up along with some deep cuts he left behind. But, all in all she will be ok. Visiting hours aren't till tomorrow, but one of you can stay here with her till she leaves the hospital. She's going to want someone familiar there when she wakes." The nurse explains. Megan's mom and I look at each other.
"You should-" About to give her mom the right to stay, she interrupts.
"You do it, Jack." Her mom says to me. "I can come back every day. You're the reason she's going to be ok, you deserve this. You've saved my daughter's life once again. Please. Stay here with her." Wow. . I'm honestly shocked.
"You sure?" I ask looking at her with concern.
"As sure as can be.." She answers. So, that's that I guess. Her mom hugs me and walks out the door. I walk into Megan's room and lay on the couch.
