Wishful Thinking
Summary
Alex's plan was to spend his summer having fun with some his best friends, but as fate will have it, they have their own plans elsewhere for the summer. Rian is spending most of his summer with his girlfriend, Cassadee, while he is visiting her in West Palm Beach, Florida. Zack is spending his summer at an MMA boot camp in Columbus, Ohio. Matt is spending a portion of his summer at summer school, due to the fact that he failed two classes and he needs to make up the credit that he needs to graduate next year. Alex wasn't sure that his summer could get any better than that, until he saw that they were hiring at one of his favorite local record stores in Baltimore. While he is working there, he meets Jack. It turns out that Jack would be working with Alex over the summer. Will Jack and Alex become something more than co-workers or will they just leave their relationship just strictly friends?
~Side note: This is my first fan fiction, so any constructive criticism or thoughts on the story would be nice. Also, I apologize, I'm not the best at writing summaries or short descriptions of stories. I have an idea of where I want this story to go, so if you enjoy reading it, then stick along. A typical high school Jalex fan fiction, really.
Characters
Alex Gaskarth
A sweet, funny, caring, happy guy. He's the person that others look to when they need someone to put a smile on their face. Has an easy time helping others with their problems, but finds it difficult to try and solve his own.
Cassadee Pope
Rian's loyal girlfriend. Alex tends to confide in her a lot about his everyday problems because he feels like he can trust her.
J.T. Woodruff
He is Alex's boss at the local music store. He's a pretty laid back, cool guy, and thinks that Alex will be a good addition to the store. He is briefly mentioned from time-to-time throughout the story.
Jack Barakat
Alex's co-worker and good friend. He's currently rethinking his whole life and trying to find out who he is as a person. He usually has a rough time opening up with people, but when it comes to Alex, he wants to show him his true colors. He may be a possible love interest for Alex.
Matt Flyzik
A very intelligent individual who lets school get in the way of his life too much. He used to let people walk all over him, but has recently changed himself for the better and is willing to cut people out of his life if they don't treat him properly.
Rian Dawson
A kindhearted individual who tends to be the shoulder to cry on in his group of friends. He is a very good at reading emotions, so usually no one lies to him when he asks the simple, yet complex question, "Are you okay?". He is dating the lovely, Cassadee Pope.
Zack Merrick
He is a shy, muscular guy who keeps his life like a closed book until he feels like he can trust someone. He is really close with Alex and treats him like his own brother.
