The Blink Show

Chapter Six: Kaleidoscope

It's the first time,
That I'm worried,
of a bad dream,
Of a journey
On a highway,
Through the valley,
It's a long road,
Through the night,
It's a long road.

Alex's p.o.v.

I was woke up by a strange sound from coming outside front were I laid. I opened my eyes, my bunk shining red. I looked to the side to see a curtain. Then I remembered, I'm in the tour bus, in my bunk. I laid in the bunk for a little before pulling the blankets off. I drew the curtains back, hearing them slip cross the railings. I then got out the bunk, lazily making my way to the door. I yawned, opening the door. As I looked through, my dad and Mark were sat together. Mark was rubbing his head, looking in pain. Hangover I guess. As I made my way to them, Travis rushed through the bus door. I startled a bit front his sudden appearance.

"We'll be on in two hours, wake Alex u- oh hey." Travis breathed out, looking at me. I smiled, mumbling a 'hey' and walked over to the couch in front or Mark and my dad. My dad was comforting Mark, rubbing his back gently. Travis went into the kitchen part of the bus, getting a glass of water.

"Are you alright, Mark?" I asked, advising my eyes to the stressed looking Mark. He nodded into his sweaty hands. My dad looked up to me after giving Mark an apologizing look. He smiled warmly at me and I returned it.

"You should go practice playing in your bunk room, Alex. Keep it down though." My dad said quietly, keeping his voice calm and smoothing. I nodded, getting off the sofa slowly and walking over to my bunkroom. I luckily didn't have to share a bunkroom with any of the other; probably because they were a lot older than me.

I walked over to my guitar that was purchased on the wall. I lifted it down, sitting down on the floor. My bunk would be too much cramped for me. I placed my guitar over my laps, making sure it was tuned. Of course, it was tuned perfectly to the max. That reminds me, I need to call Max. I moved my guitar out the way and got up to walk over to my desk. I saw my phone and picked it up. I looked through the contacts, instantly clicking on Max. It took a couple of minutes, but he answered.

"Hey, Alex!" Max shouted into the phone. I chuckled, hearing a lot of other people around him. I was instantly confused. Max doesn't hang around people, let alone parties.

"Aye, Max. Where are you?" I asked, trying not to sound too nose-y.

"In line." Max said simply, his Australian accent kicking in. I was always jealous of his accent.

"In line?" I asked, confusion as to why he would be waiting in a line. Max doesn't even go out-only if he's going to mine. The noise around him got louder and I heard a boy screaming with excitement. Well, I think it was a boy.

"Waiting in line to see you." He said sweetly. I broke into a grin. Max was waiting in a line full of over two hundred people?

"You actually wanted to see me live? You should have said so and I could've got you a free ticket." I chuckled.

"No, it's alright. The crowd is moving and this weird kid in front if me keeps shouting at his friend. Anyway, how you feeling?" Max asked, laughing back. Just then,I heard another scream. I rolled my eyes.

"Aren't you suppose to ask that at the start of the call?" I laughed, getting a bit comfortable in my bed.

"Oh, I'm fine Alex." Max joked. I scoffed, but giggled after.

"Back to the question, I am fucking nervous." I breathed out into the phone. I have to play in front of so many people.

"Alex, you'll be fine mate. Once I give your nipples a little rub, you'll be totally fine." Max said in the most serious tone. Yeah, Max has the best humor.

"Oh really, Maxy? Well you need to get the fuck down 'ere and fucking rub them because I am shitting myself." I chuckled.

"Sure thing. See you in a hour." Max laughed.

"You dick." I sighed. I really didn't want to say goodbye, but I also knew I have my vocals to warm up and guitar to practice.

"You like." He said and then instantly hung up. I chuckled, rolling my head. Max's a prick, but he's my best prick. I set my phone down, walking back over to the floor where my guitar was and practiced my lyrics.

"Alex!" I heard my dad shout through the bus. I got up, shaking in nervous. I walked out my bunkroom and faced my dad. He smiled, but also seeming stressed. I noticed Mark wasn't on the sofa like last time.

"Yeah, dad?" I asked, biting the inside of my gum violently. I really don't want to fuck up on stage. It's my first time and it might be my last.

"Okay, so, a couple of bands will go up first. You'll be just before us. The security guy will guide you backstage and tell you when to go on and everything, okay?" My dad informed. I nodded un-surly because the nerves.

"And hey, don't worry; they'll love you." My dad smiled at me. I smiled a little bit back at him.

"We'll be heading out now. You brought your acoustic or electric?" My dad asked.

"Both."

"Great, collect them and meet me outside the bus." He said and then walked away. I gulped, walking back into my bunkroom and putting my guitars in their cases. I put the paper in my pocket. Max told me to write my number on atleast three pieces of paper in case I saw someone hot.

I struggled to get out the bus, but I finally did. When I walked out, Travis, Mark and my dad were messing around with some water. I watched as they chased each other, pouring the liquid down backs. Travis cringed as Mark poured the water down his back, him keeping hold on Travis so he couldn't run away. I didn't dare to go near them, I'd be easiest target. Mark looked my way and smiled.

"Hey, Alex." Mark sounded out of breath when he through the empty bottle on the ground.

"Oi, pick that up, Hoppus." A tall, buff guy said, walking past Mark. Mark rolled his eyes and let go off Travis. They were all drenched from the water. Luckily, it was warm outside so they can dry off. They had some time until they had to go on stage.

"You ready, Alex?" My dad asked, picking up Mark's bottle that landed near his feet. Mark stopped from where he was and walked behind my dad as he was bent to pick the bottle up. Mark started to thrust behind my dad, stocking his tongue out. I had to bite back a giggle. He continued to dry hump my dad, my dad didn't suspect anything. Once my dad leaned back up, he was completely oblivious to everything. That was until he turned around and his face was right up to Mark. Mark smiled innocently, his eyes and head moving around. My dad seemed confused but turned back to me, laughing lightly.

"Yeah, I'm ready." I chuckled, finally answering his question.

"Right, well, James, take Alex backstage will ya!" My dad shouted at the short haired man across from him. Mark walked away from my dad and slapped Travis around the cheek. They ended up slapping each other constantly. I laughed as Mark slapped Travis on the crotch and Travis slapped Mark's ass.I swear those guys are not straight. I chuckled to myself.

The man my dad shouted walked up to me. He was about the same height as me. He had short black hair and was wearing an Con40 t-shirt.

"Hey, I'm James." He said, wearing a small smile.

"Alex." I said quietly. He chuckled, signaling me to follow him. I followed behind him sheepishly.

There was a couple of people backstage. I guess they were all fans of Blink as they were wearing their merch. James guided me to stand near the front of the side. There was another boy there, but I didn't really mind.

"So, the security will tell you when to go up. Will you be okay?" James asked, concern on his face. I watched as the boy I was stood next to turned his head to look at me confusedly.

"Yeah, what time will be my show?" I asked James, still feeling the boy's eyes on me. I looked back to him for a split second, looking at his brown eyes for less than two seconds before averting my eyes back too James. James hummed.

"I think your dad said seven, I'm not sure." He wore an apologized look on his small face. I nodded, saying it was no problem.

"Seeya, Alex. Good luck tonight." He said sweetly.

"See you James, and thank you, you too." I chuckled. With that, James walked away. I smiled, the nerves sub siding just a little.

"You're playing a show?" A weird accented voice came from beside me. I frowned, turning around the be met with them brown eyes again. I starred a little before nodding.

"Cool, hey you remind me of someone." The boy would stood higher than me said. He looked about my age, possibly younger. His hair made him look younger; it was black with blonde streaks. I must admit, that hair of his is very creative.

"Oh, really?" I asked, cocking an eyebrow at the boy in a blink shirt. He nodded, studying me for a little. I felt a bit nervous as he looked me up and down, like he was checking me out.

"You remind me of Tom DeLonge."

Notes

They've met. Dun dun dun. By the way, I 100% ship Tomark. Do you think Tomark should be in this story. To anybody who doesn't know, Tomark is Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus. But you knew that, so yeah. Should I?
