*Jacks POV*

I ignored the nurse and Alex's shouts behind me as I sprinted across the park, then into the street, dodging cars and bursting through the hospital's front doors. Anything having to do with Emma that made the nurse come running outside must be important.

I ignored the disapproving glare of the receptionist and many nurses and doctors wandering around. I ran through the crowd of people towards the elevator. I smashed my hand against the button impatiently.

"Ah, FUCK this!" I yelled punching the wall. A nearby nurse looked at me, startled. I then started running up the stairs, two at a time.

I tripped up the last few steps and began weaving through the people in this hallway quickly, earning many disapproving glares and shouts. I finally mad it to Emma's room and ran through the open door. The room was full of doctors and nurses. I shoved through them all and fell at Emma's side.

"What's going on?!" I shouted desperately. Monitors around her were going off like crazy, and she was attached to even more tubes and wires than before.

"Um, Mr. Barakat, we're not sure. This happened once before, after you spoke to her the second time but–"

"Jesus you never TOLD ME???"

"Mr. Barakat, it's nothing to worry about, it just means something might be happening in her possible alternate reality. Of course this time, we don't know what triggered this activity."

I slumped back into my seat, the seat I have spent hours in, and put my head in my hands. I heard the doctors discussing how they couldn't do anything but 'observe'. Through my fingers, something caught my eye.

Emma's phone. I shot my head up. The screen was lighting up, over and over. I stood up and elbowed doctors out of my way again, reaching for her phone.

I opened it. Someone had posters to her wall.

I miss you! :'(

I didn't even recognize who it was, but before I could react, another two popped up.

Why haven't you been in school, slut?

We miss you Emma, where've you been?

At least there were a few nice ones, but I was already shaking in anger at the cruel ones I have read.

They continued to appear on Emma's wall.

Wheres the emo bitch? Anyone know if she finally killed herself?

My blood boiled when I read the last one. If only they knew how close their assumptions were. I couldn't read anymore. I shoved the phone away from me to the nearest doctor.

"Could this have anything to do with it?" I asked.

The doctor looked at the phone now in his hand then stared at the monitors hooked up to Emma. "Actually..." he muttered, "It might be. There's nothing else connected with her at the moment..."

I let the doctors figure it out as I dropped back into my seat. I felt a hand on my shoulder and jumped, turning around.

"Oh," I said, relaxing a bit. "Hey Alex."

"Jack, she'll be okay. I know she will. She has to.

I sighed and nodded pulling out my phone. I opened up Facebook for the first time in months. I ignore my many notifications of my own and went right to Emma's page. There were still many posts appearing on it, many more negative than positive.

I miss you Emma. We need you. I need you.

I sighed and tucked my phone back into my pocket.

I need you, Emma.
