On Your Knees
Chapter 5.
Tears fell as I ran to the end of the line of buses and stopped, leaning against the side of the last bus. With staggered breaths I ran my fingers through my hair and slid down the side of the bus, hugging my knees to my chest. I sat like that for a few minutes until I heard my name being called. I wiped my cheeks with my hands and looked up to see Flyzik walk around the side of the bus. He sighed and sat down next to me. After a few moments of silence I forced words out, my voice shaky.
"I guess I'll pack and book a flight home."
Matt frowned at me. "Why? Because you kissed Alex?"
I nodded and looked away.
"Emily..."
"And hooked up with Dan... And fucked Mike. And-"
"Em!" Matt cut me off. "I don't give a fuck what, or who you've done. You're not going anywhere. We're on tour and you're basically one of the only girls in a group of guys, it was inevitable that something was going to happen. It's not like I wasn't expecting this."
"But I promised you..." I looked over at him.
"I know. But, whatever. You're still not going anywhere. You're too fucking good at your job and we need you." He ended and half smiled.
I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Okay..."
"That's my girl!" Flyzik said as we stood up and I reluctantly followed him back to the bus.
"So I can keep fucking band members then, seeing as you don't care?" I said with a straight face. He stopped suddenly and glared at me. After a few seconds I cracked and smiled at him. "Only kidding," I grinned.
He laughed and playfully pushed me away. "Em, if you really must know, you can do whatever the fuck you want. But know that it will be your fault if you ruin future relationships with anyone, yeah?"
I sighed and nodded. He was right.

"You're on in five boys," I said as I poked my head into the dressing room. They all nodded and yelled and waved at me as they got up off the chairs and sculled the last drops of their drinks, ready to make their way to the stage. They wandered out of the room and followed me, energy starting to build as we made our way down the hall towards the stage area. I faultered slightly as Pierce the Veil rounded the corner and walked towards us. As they passed, Mike winked and raised his eyebrows. I kept a straight face and shook my head. He frowned but I kept on walking.

"Please, babe. Just a bit of fun?"
"I can't. Not anymore." I reluctantly pushed him away from me with pleading eyes. He growled and started to walk away. "Mike, wait!" I quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him back to me. I put his face in my hands and kissed him quickly on the lips. "Thanks for everything, okay?"
He smiled a little and slowly wandered back into the bus. I bit my lip as I stood there alone, thinking about what I had done. Only if I was desperate would I even think about hooking up with som-
"Hey Em!" I jumped at the voice that interrupted my thought, turning to see a tall silhouette.
"Shit, Jack. Hi... Where's your lady tonight?" I said jokingly.
"What do you mean?" He said as he leaned on the bus next to me.
"Well, I always see you with a different girl each night."
"I always see you with a different guy..."
I smirked. "Touché." I looked up at him as he raised his eyebrows and looked me up and down with a sly smile on his face. I frowned and then realised... "Oh no. No no. No." I half laughed and turned away.
"Come on Em..." He took a step closer.
"I already hooked up with your lead singer, I don't need half the band. I'm stopping this."
"So am I."
I looked up at him. His smile had faded and there was a certain spark in his eyes. Jack slowly reached up and held my cheek in his hand as he bent down to my level. I resisted at first but somehow it felt right. I closed my eyes as our lips met for a moment.
"Jack! Jack we're doing shots!" Alex's calls from the bus interrupted us and we seperated. Our eyes locked before Jack hurried off into the bus.
"I guess I'll pack and book a flight home."
