The First Time

Alex’s POV

“Promise.” I said.

Rian and I are very curious. We don’t want a random girl hurting our bro. Yes, she was ravishing, but is she worth Zack’s love? I was getting nervous. We were having a moment of silence when she said,

“I don’t know why, but I think I should trust you.” She said awkwardly. “And if you really want to know the truth, I think I might be falling for Zack, but I don’t know if it’s the right thing.”

The first thing that popped in my head was YES YES IT IS THE RIGHT THING! Rian saw my eyes going wider.

“He’s an amazing guy. When I’m with him, I feel safe and comfortable and he makes me feel like I’m the luckiest girl in the world. He makes me want to be a better person. Whenever I’m with him, I feel like I don’t have to shut down and stay quiet. I feel free. I’ve never felt like this before. I really like him and I really wish that he likes me back.” Emma explained while looking down. She looked quite sad and the words that came out from her mouth seemed to be true.

“The only problem is, I’m not good enough for him.” She added

“Why?” Rian asked

“He’s way out of my league, guys. Look at him, he’s handsome, talented, smart, sweet, caring, he has friends, and I know he can do better than me. I’m not worthy of his time. I think he realizes that and I’m worried that he thinks He should find someone else. Even though I agree with him, I don’t want to lose Zack. He’s the exception. He’s different.”

Well, that’s a lot to take in. Rian and I has a lot to decide, but I think one thing’s clear. I just hope he agrees with me.

“Well, that was a great chat. Thank you Emma.” Rian said while standing up.

“Emma, if I may, can I hug you?” I asked. I was a bit emotional.

“Uh, sure.” Emma smiled

We hugged and Rian joined.

“Thank you so much Em. See you some other time." Rian said while walking out. "By the way, let’s keep this meeting between us. We promised we won’t tell Zack anything, but you should do the same. Okay?”

“Okay.”

Emma walked us to the door. We said goodbye and we went back to my place.

When we got to my house, Rian looked a bit stressed out.

“Well, that went well.” Rian commented

“Yeah, super well.” I replied

“Alex, why did you hug her?”

“I was emotional okay? She spoke her heart out! She deserved a hug.”

“Okay, what do you think? Player or no player?”

“I think the question is Player or soul mate?“

“Soul mate? What makes you think she’s his soul mate?”

“They’re feeling the exact same thing aren’t they? She fits his category, right? She man up and spoke her heart out, did she? All our checklist has been checked out.”

“True, but what if it’s a lie?”

“Zack’s just gotta take a chance. For some reason, I believe they might have a chance together. Do you?”

“I do actually.”

Rian and I looked at each other.

“So, Player or soul mate?” I asked

“Soul mate.” Rian answered
