Jack

It was the day of the court meeting. Jack wasn’t able to eat anything due to his nerves. Alex had managed to convince him to at least drink some water. Ge gulped it down, jumped up and said, “we’re ready to go”.

Jack didn’t want to go there. He was too scared. His nightmares had gotten less but all the other things that he was still carrying around in his personal backpack of things in his life seemed to weigh a lot.

Alex and Jack entered the gigantic room and walked up to the table of the judges. Jack had pretty much avoided any big amount of people in the past so this was difficult for him. Alex was glad he hadn’t completely shut him out. Jack's heart was beating hard. He was nauseous.

He spotted Matt and that was when he started to really be scared. Pictures flooded his mind, memories paralyzed him.

He tried his best not to cry but it was hard. The judge hammered the hammer down, Jack tensing up at the sound and waited until everyone was silent. She looked weird. Young but also old. Jack tried to smile to make a good impression and he hoped that it didn't look like he was having a facial cramp.
