You okay?
Jack
Alex was weird today and Jack didn’t know why but he wanted to know it. So when they had cuddled for a bit, he asked him innocently how he was feeling today.
“Alex?”
“Yeah?”
“How are you feeling today?”
“Things are… a little difficult I guess?” Alex replied slowly.
“What do you mean?”
“I… it’s nothing.”
“No, trust me,” Jack said quietly.
“I received a letter and it says someone knows about me having a relationship and how I’m not supposed to have one and that God won’t forgive me and… Sorry, I’m rambling,” Alex said hastily, now suddenly talking a lot.
“Shh, it’s okay. What is that letter? Who sent it?” Jack answered calmly, even though he was quite a bit scared too.
“I don’t know but I’m so scared I mean what if I lose my job and I’ll have to leave and I’ll lose my priest license and… I don’t want that,” Alex explained panickedly, tears forming in his eyes.
“Hey, I’m sure they don’t know exactly about us. And even if they do, you can always say that we don’t have a relationship but that you are letting me live with you for now and sadly, you only have one bedroom. It’ll all be alright,” Jack tried to soothe him. Alex had started to sob in his arms and he tried to somehow comfort him. Backrubs might help. And they did.
After a while, Alex stopped crying as much and looked up at Jack through tear-stained eyes.
“I hope it’ll all be okay,” he said.
“It will be. For now, you can’t do anything. Relax. Shh,” Jack replied. “Want me to make you laugh?” he asked with a little smile.
“I… yeah?” Alex said sceptically. Jack started poking him in his sides, tickled him until Alex wasn’t able to breathe anymore because of laughter and was almost pissing his pants. He had only recently found out about Alex being ticklish and he loved it.
Alex caught his breath again after Jack had stopped before angrily mumbling, “You’ll get that back.”
Jack just smirked. “You’re a cutie.”
“You are.”
“We both are.”
