Guts

After the wedding, things were hectic to say the least. Jack’s family went crazy, but couldn’t say much because his mother had given over rights to my mom, and his brother and sister had their own families to worry about. Jack was worried about Zack, with good reason. He just asked his 17 year old sister to marry him. For a few days things were tense between the two, but after some sweet talk from Maria he accepted it. The next big step was telling her parents. Jack manned up and faced her parents. They met up at a restaurant and he told them the news. To say they were furious was an understatement. They were even more pissed that she said yes. They tried to ban them from each other, which lasted a day. They really couldn’t do much. So they told them that as long as they waited until after graduation to get married then they would help with the wedding. They were ecstatic.

We spent the rest of the summer hanging out and playing coffee shop gigs. Matt had been in touch with the record label, who said they had news for us. We met up and they told us that we were in the clear to start recording shortly after school started. It was our junior year, and both Zack and Matt were graduated. That left me, Rian, Jack, and Maria. Matt was working for the record company so we didn’t have to worry about working around his schedule, but Zack was working for a fast food place, so practice had to work around him. We were doing pretty good. We had four solid songs that I had written and we played regularly. I was working on more, but with school it was hard to do everything.

None of us worked because all we needed money for was band equipment. Rian needed gas money, but he used the gig money for that. Zack brought all of us to school since we didn’t have cars. We all had our license, but couldn’t afford cars. Also since we would be recording soon, we would have the EP come out and we would make money off of that. Plus we also got merch money. Jack and Maria were saving up for their wedding and I was saving up for a car.

By the second month of school, we were all stressed. This year was the hardest by far. Maria was even struggling in her AP classes. We lowered practice to once a week just to keep up in school. We weren’t planning on going to college, but if the band thing fell through, we would have a fall back. Maria was super smart and she was looking into online colleges.

Come Halloween time, they finally let us in the studio. We were super stoked. We had never done anything like this before. They gave us an hour. In that hour we got two songs done. They seemed pleased. They told us to be back a week later, and by then we could also listen to the two songs we recorded. We left and headed to my house to get ready to go out. We had a gig at a classmate’s party. Jack dressed up as a burrito, I was a fairy, Zack was a zombie, Rian was a vampire, Matt was a banana, and Maria was a doctor.

^I lost a bet, thanks to Zack, but hey I was the best fairy every! And not like you were looking at me, your eyes were glued to Maria and her body!
*She was one hella fine doctor. I faked sick just so she would give me a physical ;) *

Anyway, we played the gig and went out for some candy, which you are never too old for! We went back to my place for scary movies and my mom’s cooking. We watched all the Halloween’s and Nightmare on Elm street before we headed off to bed. Maria went to Jack’s room, no one even tried to stop them anymore. Matt was already passed out on the floor; Rian grabbed my bed, so Zack had the couch.

Okay guys I'm sorry for the short shitty chapter, but I needed a filler and I'm trying to rush it along to the Jalex part because, were all freaks who like the guy on guy action ;)
