Guts

Graduation had finally come! Matt was just as pumped as we were to be playing, he still had no idea about our plan. We were set to play after everyone had gotten their diplomas and the graduates were getting congrats from their family. We were supposed to play for at least 30 minutes so everyone could get pictures then go on their separate ways.

Once they reached the O names, we headed backstage to set up. Matt joined us. They made it to the R’s when I nodded to Maria and she bolted off grabbing her mouth. We all faked concern, and Jack chased off after her. When he came back he said she was getting sick and wouldn’t be able to sing the new song.

We all “panicked”. Lee had told us that the record people would be there and they wanted our original songs. Matt went into panic mode, they were almost to Z. I looked him dead in the eye and handed him the microphone and told him he had to do it. He freaked out. Saying he couldn’t and making excuses.

Next thing we knew, they were calling for us. He now had no choice. The curtains lifted and people started cheering. I went up and introduced us and told them about our “incident” with our backup singer getting sick so our manager had to fill in. He was white as a ghost. It took everything we had not to laugh.

The seniors cheered Matt on as we started. We were worried he was going to freeze up and choke, or worse, throw up. However once the time came he wowed everyone, including us. He did amazing. It kind of made me wonder why he wanted to be a manager and not a singer.

Anyway, after our set Maria rushed the stage and hugged Matt. He looked shocked and we all laughed. Maria told him our plan and burst out laughing at the face he made us. So many curse words came out of his mouth when we heard a laugh boom from behind us.

We all turned to see Lee with some business man. Matt turned bright red and we all continued to laugh at him. Lee told us that the guy with him wanted to give us a record deal, but not quite yet. He said we were so young that we still had improving to do, but he would be watching us and staying in touch with Matt. Him and Matt walked off to talk business while Lee told us we did a great job and he couldn’t wait to see us next year.

It was officially summer and we had so many plans, one of which involved a pool and my backyard. All the guys and Maria were staying at my place and we were setting up the pool and camping out in my back yard. My mom had borrowed a fire pit from one of her friends and we were gonna make s’mores under the stars, swim, and sleep on the ground in sleeping bags.
It seemed to take forever to set and fill up the pool, so while waiting, we played some games and just hung out. The rest of the night was spent swimming or making s’mores. At one point we had a gooey marshmallow war that ended up with all of us covered in stickiness. We couldn’t get back in the pool so we all had to be hosed off. My mom threw dish soap out for us to try and used and just shook her head and laughed at us.

Finally we all settled down to sleep. Maria and Zack close to each other, Flyzik and Rian were off on their own whispering about something, which left Jack and I. We both laid there looking up at the stars until the whispering ceased and he nudged me.

He told me that his one year anniversary with Maria was coming up and he wanted to do something special but he wasn’t sure what. We had a little money saved up from doing the gigs. I suggested dinner and a movie, but he said he wanted it to be more romantic.
I had a genius idea. I told him one of the days that no one would be at his house and it was Marias night at my house, he should make her a candle lit dinner. I would distract her at my house until it was done and then say we needed to go to his house to get something I forgot and once we got there she would go in and I would leave.

He thought that was a great idea. Now all he needed to do was figure out what to cook and gifts to get her.

We had a feeling this summer would be great.

Okay so in about 20 minuets I'm headed to San Antonio with mi roomie! I'm excited!
So Jack and Maria's date! SMUT time has finally come and I am going to make you wait! For how long I'm not sure, because finals are next week!
