Alex POV:
The next day at school I walked right up to Jeremy, he was at his usual place doing what he normally does before school starts, behind the building smoking.
“Jeremy.” I called out and he turned, giving me a devilish grin.
“What’s up Gaskarth, how’s my little buddy doing today?” He asked, ruffling up my hair, to which I slapped his hand away.
“Wow, careful there Gaskarth.” He gave me a warning glare, which I shot right back at him.
“Listen Jeremy, I can’t do this anymore, I can’t keep hurting Jack like this!” I had to keep my voice down because there may be other kids around.
“Really? Hmmm… Well… I don’t think that’s going to go down well for you Gaskarth.”
The next thing that happened was pain shooting through the back of my head as I was slammed up against the outer brick wall, Jeremy whispered in my ear.
“There’s one last thing I want you to do for me before I let you go.”
Jack POV:
I realized I hadn't been beaten up yet today, another thing that came with that realization, Alex was no where to be found. I had seen Jeremy glare at me a couple times, but he never tried to hit me or say anything to me. Maybe it was because either Zack or Rian were with me? I had no idea. By the time the bell rang for us to go to lunch, I was getting worried. Alex wasn't sitting with Jeremy. Rian kept trying to tell me that maybe he just didn't come today, maybe he was sick. One thing that was wrong with both of those, his car was in the parking lot.
“I’m starting to get worried Zack, what if something bad happened to him?” I asked as I picked lazily at my lunch, Zack sighed.
“Let’s go look for him, maybe he is just ditching and walking around, or trying to dodge Jeremy, I’m not sure. You are right though, his car is here so he must be somewhere right? We'll find him, come on.”
We decided to split up and go look for him, Zack said he would check the right side of the school, and I would look on the opposite. I had been wandering around for a good 10 minutes before my phone went off, it was Zack.
“Hey Zack, did yo-”
“Jack! Hurry and get to the back of the school, I need help! Call Rian on your way here!” Then he ended the call. Fear shot through me as I raced behind the school, trying to call Rian. I held it up to my ear as I turned the corner.
“Jack? Hello? You there?” His voice faded as I took the phone slowly from my ear.
“A-Alex?”

HAHAHA CLIFF HANGER!!!! Please don't hate me.... if you hadn't already guessed, the next chapter probably wont be pretty... fair warning. Sorry this is short and probably sucks, I'm still sick and only got about 3 hours of sleep last night, woo! Please keep commenting, I love reading them.
