Thanks To You

Jack POV:
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
I groaned and rolled over, moving my pillow over my head to try to block out the annoying sound of my alarm clock. Eventually I gave in and fumbled around trying to turn it off. I slowly got out of bed and looked at the time. 7:00. “Shit…” I thought. I took a shower, enjoying the hot water hitting my back. I got out and looked at myself in the mirror, “I‘m going to make this school be different, no one can find out.” I thought to myself then sighed. I got out my blow dryer and blew my hair dry, then went back into me room to get ready for the day.

I went to my dresser and got out my usual clothing of choice, a Blink-182 shirt, dark purple skinny jeans, and black converse. Then I went back into my bathroom to go my hair. I styled it, looking at the blonde streaks in it, then decided it looked good enough and ran down the stairs.

“Morning sweetie, breakfast is ready!” My mom called from the kitchen. I grabbed my bag off the table in the kitchen. “Not hungry mom, thanks anyways!” I called and went out the door before she could argue. Me and my mom just moved here, I wasn't looking forward to this new school. At my last one, my secret got out and it became a living hell going to school, I didn't want this one to be the same. I shook my head to try and clear my thoughts before continuing to walk towards my new school, Dulaney High School.

Alex POV:
I pulled into a parking space as close to the door as I could and reached behind me to grab my bag. As I climbed out of my car I heard my name being called, “Hey Gaskarth!” I looked over to see my friend Zack jogging over to me. “What’s up Merrick?” I said back, smiling at him. Our conversation was cut short due to tardy bell ringing “Shit. See you later Gaskarth!” He said to me and shot towards the building. “Awesome…” I thought before chasing after him.

“Late again Mr. Gaskarth?” my English teacher said as I walked through the door. “Sorry, it wont happen again.” I replied as I walked up the rows of seats. Zack shot me a smirk and a rolled my eyes at him before taking my seat in the back corner. “Don’t make promises you can’t keep, especially ones you seem to break every other day.” she said back to me before starting her lecture.

A couple minutes later the door opened and our secretary walked in, handed the teacher a note and whispered something to her. The teacher nodded and our secretary motioned for whoever was standing in the doorway to come in. A tall, lanky boy with black hair and blonde streaks it in walked through the door. I definitely liked the shirt he was wearing. This guy is pretty hot… Alex what are you thinking?! You are straight! Straight! I shook my head, laying it down on my desk.

“Please introduce yourself.” Our teacher told him. He looked like he was going to piss himself, poor kid. “I’m Jack Barakat.” he mumbled. “Well Mr. Barakat you can take that empty seat beside Mr. Gaskarth. Mr. Gaskarth, please raise your hand so he knows who you are, since you will be escorting him to his classes. Luckily he has all the same ones as you.” She smiled. I sighed, lifted up my head, and raised my hand. He slowly crept up the stairs to his new seat and sat down beside me, keeping his eyes glued to his desk. “Hey, my name is Alex.” I whispered to him. He didn't say anything, maybe he didn't hear me. I sighed after waiting a couple more minutes then turned my head to look out the window. "This is going to be harder than I thought, I've got to make him talk to me…”
