“Coffee?” Vic’s voice had interrupted my deep thought as I stared into space. The rest of the boys had left with All Time Low for drinks. We were all going to go, but I didn’t feel up to it and Vic offered to stay home with me. Part of me felt like a child being babysat, but I quite liked the thought of some alone time with Vic. And to be honest I didn’t think my liver could take much more.

“No, I’m good thanks” I didn’t look at him, continuing to stare blankly in front of me. I kept running over my encounter with Alex in my head. Would he really keep his mouth shut? I felt the couch dip slightly as Vic placed himself next to me.

“Is there something wrong?” His voice tainted with concern. I dropped my eyes, but still didn’t look at him.

“Not exactly” I said, sighing.
He swung his legs up, lying down and placing his head in my lap. He stared up at me, waiting for an
explanation.

“It’s really nothing” I met his gaze, playing with his hair.

“Yeah. I don’t believe you” He said with a grin. I rolled my eyes at him, returning his smile which quickly disappeared.

“Phoebs I’m not moving until you tell me.” I was stupid to think I could hide anything from him. I broke away from his stare.

“Phoebe…” He sounded as if he was telling off a lying child.

“Alex knows about my wrists” he was quiet for a very long minute before speaking softly.

“Did you tell him? “ I slowly shook my head.

“No, he walked in on me when I was cleaning them up. I must of knocked my arm earlier”

“What did he say?”

“Not a lot. But he promised to keep it to himself. Do you think he will?”

“Yeah, he’s a really nice guy. I could talk to him if you want?”

“No no. I just want him to forget about it. It’s not like we’ll be seeing a lot of each other”

“I wouldn’t be so sure of that” Oh perfect. I waited for an explanation.

“We’re touring together. A lot.”

“Well that’s got nothing to do with me. I’m not in your band, as much as you obviously want me to be” I grinned at him sarcastically.

“Do you really think I’d fly you all the way out here and leave you, all alone in this house?” he smirked back at me. His eyes watched me carefully, waiting for me to react.

“Wait. You want me to… No fucking way!” I said hysterically, my voice a lot louder than I intended. He wanted me to travel with them. My reaction only made Vic’s grin wider. I was definitely not ready for tour life.

“C’mon! It will be like old times! You can’t say you haven’t missed it” I had missed it, so much. It was the best time of my life. But I had spent the past year completely isolated from my friends, from any interaction more than exchanging a few words with people I passed in the street. The idea terrified me.

“Yeah, I’ve missed spending three months on a bus with four sweaty men with less hygiene than zoo animals. Sure!” His smile did not falter one bit despite my rant.

“Please?” He gave me his best puppy face, even managing to make his eyes teary. He was good.

“Ugh…. FINE! But don’t expect me to be happy about it!” Dammit.

“I knew you’d agree” He beamed at me.

“How could I say no to that face” I squished his cheeks together before he batted away my hands.

“So… What should we do now?”

“I haven’t unpacked yet, I guess we could do that?” Vic shrugged and nodded, sitting back up again.

“Sure thing, let’s go!” He yanked me up, almost pulling my arm from its socket. I had no idea where he got his energy from. He picked up my suitcase from the hallway and showed me to my room. It was really pretty, dark wooden floors and white furniture. He placed it on the double bed in the centre of the room.

“Thank you” I smiled at him, waiting for him to leave. He just stood there looking at me.

“What are you waiting for? Open it, we don’t have all day y’know” He smiled, knowing that I wouldn’t expect him to help me. I slowly nodded my head, not bothering to question him. I unzipped the suitcase, handing him things and telling him where to put them. When we reached the last item, he looked at the empty case with a frown.

“Where’s the rest of it?” He said, looking back up at me. I understood why he would think I had left stuff in England, I owned very little.

“That’s it” I answered quietly, feeling a little awkward. He must of picked up on it, he quickly replaced his frown with a smile.

“Well I guess I’m taking you shopping tomorrow then, if you have any windows free?” He smirked at me.

“Shopping as in… for clothes?” Vic never failed to surprise me.

“Yeah” He answered brightly. I slowly nodded, not quite managing to remove the slight shock from my expression.

“So I think you should get some rest, as we clearly have a lot to do tomorrow” He eyed the empty suitcase curiously.

“Uh, okay” I was unsure if I had just imagined the last five minutes. He crossed the room, planting a kiss on my forehead.

“Let me know if you need anything. Night sweetheart”

“Night” With that he left, softly closing the door behind him. I stood staring blankly at the wall for a second.

I had not imagined it. Vic Fuentes was taking me shopping tomorrow.
