The Next Big Thing

Alex’s Pov:

*2 weeks later*

We had been back in school for about a week, and Jack and I were heading to lunch, we got there and found Becca and Zack sitting at a table, “Hey where are Rian and Cass? Normally they’re the first ones here.” Jack asked as we were sitting down.

“I don’t know, I’m sure they’ll get here soon, look there’s Cass now.” Becca said nodding her head in the direction of Cass who was running towards us. When she got to the table we all got worried because of two things, 1) she was crying, 2) she wasn’t with Rian.

“Becca, can I talk to you? Alone.” Cass asked, Becca nodded then stood up and took Cass out of the cafeteria. A few minutes later Rian walked in and sat down with a sigh.

“Dude what happened with Cass?” Zack asked.

“I have no idea, she texted me last night telling me not to pick her up this morning that she had something to do, then she came in late, so I went and asked her what was wrong and she told me to leave her alone. I took her outside before lunch and asked her what was wrong, she just said nothing, and for me not to worry about it and I got super pissed, so I told her to tell me what the fuck was going on, and I guess I was yelling at her, and it made her cry then she yelled at me and told me to leave her the fuck alone and to not talk to her anymore, then she ran off.” He told us.

“Well she came in here, in tears and her and Becca left to have a girl talk I guess.” Zack told him.

“I just want to know why she’s so mad, like what happened?” Rian said, sighing and lying his head down on the table.

“Did you forget something important, like her birthday or your anniversary or something?” I offered those as suggestions.

“Nah, her birthday isn’t until August and our anniversary is in July.” He said.

“I’m sorry man.” Jack said with us all nodding along.

The rest of the day passed by normally, except that neither Cass nor Becca came back to class, I got Jack to drive me home and had invited Zack and Rian over as well, when I got back to the house Becca was upstairs in her room with Cass crying. I walked passed her room and heard part of their conversation,

“Cass are you sure?” -Becca

“No I’m not I mean not 100%”-Cass

“Well you should make sure, like 100% before you do anything, come on I’ll take you.” –Becca

I quickly went back downstairs and into the living room when I heard Becca and Cass come downstairs, “Hey guys, I’m going to go out for a little bit, I’ll be back later.” Becca yelled then we heard the door shut.

“What do you guys think is going on?” Jack asked.

“No idea.” We all responded.

*4 hours later*
We were still sat in the living room, watching a movie. The front door opened then Becca came in and we heard her trying to quietly yell at Cass, we then paused the movie.

“He deserves to know!” She said.

“But what if I-” Cass started but was cut off.

“He still has the right to know!” –Becca

“Fine I’ll tell him later.”

“No, NOW.” With that Becca was pulling Cass into the living room, “Do you want to tell him alone or in front of everyone?” Becca asked Cass.

“Might as well tell everyone, they’ll know soon enough.” She said.

“Alright go on then.” Becca spoke.

Cass looked down then whispered something no one could hear and Rian told her, “What? Speak louder we couldn’t hear you.”

She looked up and we could see tears in her eyes, but she still wouldn’t make eye contact with anyone, she finally spoke again after what felt like 5 minutes of us waiting. “I'm pregnant.”

Silence
Complete and udder silence.
1 minute, 2 minutes, 5, 10. We had now been sitting here for 15 minutes in silence no one saying anything. Then Rian stood up and walked out onto the porch, Zack got up and followed him, Cass broke down crying onto the couch, “Oh God, he hates me, he hates me.” Becca sat down next to her and Jack and I stood at each other completely stunned.

Rians Pov:

I was stood on the porch when Zack came out behind me, he came and stood next to me, didn’t say anything and just put his arm around me. I leaned my head down onto his shoulder, “What am I going to do man?” I asked

“Well do you want a kid?” He asked me calmly, one thing I loved about Zack, he was always calm.

“Not now.” I said.

“Well there are other options, there’s adoption, or abortion, and you just need to talk to her, see what she wants.” He said.

“What if she wants to keep the baby?” I asked.

“Then you need to take responsibility and be there for that kid, I’m sorry man but it takes two people to make a baby, you have just as much a part in this as she does.” He said back to me, trying to be as gentle as possible.

“Yeah I know.”

OOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhh, so how many of you guys expected that?
Sorry I haven't uploaded in a while I've just been busy with school and haven't had that much time to sit down and write, but don't worry I'm not giving up on this story.
