Dangerous

Chapter Seven: Fake Your Death

I choose defeat
I walk away
And leave this place
The same today
Some like to sleep
We like to play
Just look at all that pain

Jack's p.o.v

Jack pulled the hanging piece of fence to the side and looked at the familiar gap. He slowly ducked through the just-big-enough gap and breathed in. He just lucky squeezed through it. Jack heard the piece of fence flow back into it's rightful place; the strong, grey nail swaying it side to side. He carefully stood back up, despite the harsh wind trying to pull him back down onto the muddy ground. Jack shook off some dust and leaves and started walking across the mud. This is the only place where he was aloud to be himself. He can look up all he liked without shyly looking down to cut the looks of disgusted faces. Only nature here accepted him. Sometimes he would bring some lunch he didn't eat at lunch and pest-y squirrels and rabbits would surround him. They weren't as scared and horrid by him. He looked up to the sky as he reached a thick tree. He sat down on the stable stone. Luckily, the stone was big enough for him to sit on. The sky was slightly getting darker by the second. Birds had now stopped tweeting and finally went back to sleep in their fluff ball bodies. Squirrels will be hiding inside the gaps of the trees they call home. Foxes will be hunting and some sleeping; looking after their children. Jack pulled his bag to the side of him, and pulled out a pencil. It may be getting dark, but it's visible to draw. To draw and forget. He slowly placed the pencil in his lap while looking for his drawing pad. There Jack saw his black drawing pad and pulled it out. He closed his bag rightfully before bringing his knees up. He got comfortable against the brown, dark tree and placed his pencil in his hand. With his free hand, he sat his drawing pad up against his lanky legs. He rolled his head back against the tree, taking in the faint noises of grasshoppers. The wind flew past lightly, sending a chill down Jack's neck. But he's not going to let the wind stop him from his freedom. It can push and push; He'll stay right here. He sighed and looked down at his drawing pad. A leaf had just flew onto of it. He frowned and picked the lifeless leaf up. From the slight moonlight, he could see the drowned color of it. It was a very dark brown with a tint of yellow splattered on the edges. The leaf kind of reminded him of himself. All alone, looking for a place to fit in.

"So long." He gently let go of the leaf as it flew along the wind. He hoped it finds it's rightful place.

Jack slowly scrolled through his drawing pages. There was pages and pages full of drawings of this pacific spot. Somehow, all the drawings had something different on them. From there being a starlight flying free into the summer-set sky, to there being just the moon by it's self. He looked around his surroundings and looked straight at where the moon shined. He bit his lip and pressed his pencil tip slowly against the plain paper. He looked up once more, memorizing the beautiful scene in front of him.

A couple of peace and calmness, he had finally finished his drawing of the scenery. To be honest, he was proud of the now coloured drawing. It was the huge, lighten moon surrounded by mini, tiny, twinkle stars. A dark green thorn bush was at the side of the paper; it's longest twig sticking on the side of the moon. He smiled at it and closed the book. He guess he should be heading home now. Jack looked up once more, as more stars had came out from their hiding spots. He then gathered his stuff and carefully placed them into his bag. He breathed in the nice smell of nature and breathed back out before standing up.

'Snap' A twig from in front of him snapped. Jack gulped, not looking up. 'Who the hell is out there?'He though. He closed his eyes shut, hoping for the best. He dropped his bag when a sudden voice appeared.

"Shh. It's me Jack." He knew that voice from anywhere. Jack breathed deeply out, his heart kept racing and racing. He blinked as he heard the body come closer to him. He looked up through his hair to make sure who he thought it was was who he thought it was. And from the funny looking familiar belly, he was sure.

"Alex?" He gulped, still in getting up position. Jack could even hear the giant smile appearing on Alex's face.

"Yeah, it's okay. It's me." He heard him speak quietly. Jack breathed out in relief and stood up fully, grabbing his bag along with him.

"H-hey." He mumbled, still frightened by the sudden appearance. He thought he was the only one that came here. But obviously, he's not the only who likes this place.

"I really like it out here." Alex's eyes twinkled as he looked up to the sky. His smile was bigger than the moon itself. Jack nodded as he sat back down. When Alex brought his gaze back onto him, he started shuffling to Jack, making the twigs snap against his shoes. Jack bit his lip and moved up so Alex could sit down. He gratefully sat down next to him.

"So, what you doing here this late?" Alex asked. Jack took his gaze from the stars and looked down at the muddy ground. Jack shrugged and started playing with his sleeve.

"Oh, wouldn't your parents be worried at all?" He asked, sounding a little concerned. Then Jack remembered not returning home. He didn't even text his dad where he was.

"They wouldn't care." Jack whispered.

"I mean, they would. I just..." Jack trailed off. He couldn't believe he's actually talking to Alex. He's actually talking to someone.

"Oh, umm." Alex sounded like he was lost for words. Jack sighed really quietly.

"What about you? Why are you here?" He asked trying to speak louder but failing. He's not used to having a friend, if Alex was classed as a friend. I mean sure, he's talked to Jack-everyday actually. They never hung out though.

"Oh, I um, I guess I just took a walk and ended up here." He shrugged. Jack nodded slowly more to myself than anybody.

They ended up sitting in the dark until the cold was way too bad for their bodies to cope with. Jack sighed silently to himself.

"I um, I'm going to go." Jack whispered, waiting a second before getting up. He felt Alex shuffle next to him and he realised Alex was coping his actions.

"Well it was nice sitting with you, Jack. We should hang out more." He heard Alex chuckled beside him. Jack looked down at the discarded, crumpled leaves and thought. Though, he never talked to Alex that much, and they weren't sat down very long, he enjoyed it. He felt like he was being guarded by someone other than Aldemar; Aldemar guarded him in the wrong way. He didn't know if he should believe himself, but he's always kinda wanted to talk to Alex. Alex seems like he's all perfect and has no problems in his life, but that's what he seems; was the quiet Alex perfect? Jack gripped his bag over his shoulder some more, before sticking both his hands in his pocket. Then he realised as he felt my phone, he got a message a little earlier ago. He felt a bit of anxiety hit hint as he realised, he only had his dad's number. He bit my lip, and walked away from Alex. Jack power walked over to the little broken wood that was connected to the nail and squeezed through it. He needed to get home, now. He never looked back for Alex, he didn't even hear any foot steps following him. He hated the dark. He always find himself hearing and seeing stuff that don't even exist. Jack ducked his head as he jogged onto the clean-ish path.

His dad is going to kill him.

@Twat

oh Damn, sorry. Aldemar died because Jack had did what his father had done... Like, Jack had basically died for a moment, so Aldemar died and never came back when Jack did. I don't know if that makes sense. Maybe I should've included that.
