For Baltimore (Part Two)

Delilah~~

I woke up in Alex's secure arms. A faint smile found my lips as I remembered last night, my renewed friendship with Daulton, arriving here, being in Alex's arms, and of course, kissing his perfect lips. My eyes fluttered open, and they were met with Alex's brown orbs staring at me. I kissed his lips quickly as if he would suddenly disappear, like me being here was just a dream, and I was still stuck at that God awful place.

I felt something on my belly, and I realized it was Alex's hand. I placed my hand over his and he softly smiled.

"We're having a baby." He said, like he just found out. My smile widened, and Alex gently pressed his lips to mine.

"Hey Alex, any word on anything?" I heard Sami ask. I looked at her and noticed her staring at her phone, frantically typing away. I raised my eyebrows.

"Uh.. sure." Alex said. Sami looked up, phone completely forgotten.

"You ha- Delilah!" She yelled.

"That's me." I said. She squealed, and a smile, a smile, broke out on her face. The biggest smile I've seen on her face in days. Alex stood up and then helped me up. Sami ran over to me and flung her arms around me. I hugged her back.

"Oh my God." I heard a soft voice say. I pulled away from Sami and turned around. Zack, Rian, and Matt were standing around the room.

"Hey guys." I said.

"Alex! She came back and you didn't even tell us!?" Matt asked. Alex shrugged.

"She woke me up. I was tired, so we fell asleep together." He said. I returned to his side and wrapped my arms around his torso. I guess I took him by surprise, because he wrapped his arms around me a few seconds later.

"I never want to be away from you again." I mumbled into his chest.

"Same here, baby." He muttered back. We continued to stand there, wrapped in each other's embrace, not wanting to let go. I breathed in his scent and smiled. He smelled amazing, like always. I let my mind wander. I let it wander to where we'd be in five years; married, with a beautiful child; girl or boy, I didn't know. My mind reeled to ten years, Alex and I still doing what we love. My mind fast forwarded to an old couple, that I realized was Alex and I. Then I took in our surroundings. Alex was hunched over a hospital bed, holding my hand tightly with his. He was sobbing; that much I could tell. His face was buried into his arm that was laying on the bed. I felt emotions coursing through me as I continued to watch in my mind. Tears filled my own eyes, and soon, Alex's shirt was soaked with my tears. He pushed me away by my shoulders, and I opened my eyes. My knees gave out, and Alex fell to the floor with me, him on his knees, me sitting on my legs.

"Woah woah woah.. hey." Alex said softly. He lifted my chin up and made me look at him.

"You alright?" He asked. I didn't reply. Instead, I wrapped my arms around him and collapsed into his lap. He held me tight, him softly shaking. Out of what, I didn't know. Fear? Sadness? The list was endless. I let in a sharp breath and then let it out. Alex slowly rocked me back and forth, rubbing my back in the process.

The others were silent. I didn't know what they were thinking right now; nor did I care much. The only thing I cared about right now was Alex. I didn't want to end up in a hospital on my deathbed, with Alex sobbing over me. That's not what I wanted. Ever.

"Shh. Deep breaths." Alex whispered. I did what he said, and the tears slowed until they stopped. He slowly pushed me away and looked into my eyes.

"You alright?" He asked in slightly above a whisper. I nodded, but something told me he didn't believe me. He smiled slightly, and stood up, me in his arms. He set me on my feet and I took a shaky breath. I looked around the room, and everyone had worried expressions on their faces; even Jack, who had probably just arrived.

"I'm fine guys." I said quietly. They all hesitated as one before nodding and dispersing. Alex led me to the couch and sat me down, worry etched into his features.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Nothing happened. I just, saw something." I said.

"What did you see?" He asked.

"I'm not up for talking about it." I whispered. Alex nodded and kissed my lips gently.

"I've got someone who wants to talk to you." Alex said. I cocked my eyebrows, and he picked up his laptop and opened Skype.

"Alex, who i-" I was cut short by my mother's face appearing on the screen.

"It's your mom, I promised I'd call her." He said.

"Hi, mom." I said. She smiled.

"Hi, Delilah." She said.

"So Michelle... some news." Alex said with a cheeky smile.

"And what's that, Alex?" She asked. Alex grabbed my hand and laced his fingers through mine before he held it up, showing off my ring. My mom covered her mouth with her hands, and tears welled up in her eyes. Alex lowered our hands and I watched with interest.

"Delilah... baby... Oh Alex." She choked out. I rested my head on Alex's shoulder.

"It's gorgeous! When did you ask her?" She questioned.

"Just the other day." Alex replied softly. I closed my eyes and thought back to the night when Alex proposed. I had fallen to my knees, and hugged him. Man, that was the best night of my life, no doubt. I reopened my eyes to find my mom crying tears of joy. I turned to face Alex, and I pressed my lips to his softly.

"I love you Alex, I really do." I whispered. He hummed in reply before pressing his lips back on mine.
