For Baltimore (Part Two)

"So Alex... are you gonna help me with this song list, or what?" I asked from the living room doorway, looking at Alex who was in the kitchen. He looked up at me.

"I guess so. How many songs?" he asked.

"About ten or so, for the reception." I replied. He nodded and stood up, ditching the newspaper he had been reading. He approached me and took the pen and paper I had, and I followed him fully into the living room, where we sat down on the couch.

"So, you already have I'm With You by Avril Lavigne." he said. I nodded.

"I really want that one to be our first dance song, if that's alright." I muttered. Alex seemed to ponder this.

"Too slow. How about... Falling Fast?" Alex asked.

"I haven't heard it yet. Show it to me." I said, and Alex did so.

"I like that, but it really isn't much faster than the other one." I said.

"That may be, but it does relate to us better." Alex said.

"But I've already fallen for you." I said. Alex smiled and pressed a kiss to my lips gently.

"So, is that a yes?"

"Definitely." I said. Alex grinned.

"Next song.. father and daughter dance. Oh fuck sorry, Delilah." Alex said the last part right after the first.

"It's okay, Alex. I'll just dance with your dad." I said, feeling my heart drop a little at the fact that my dad wouldn't be there for my wedding. Alex nodded. I was quick with this one.

"Lullabies, Alex. Lullabies." I said in just above a whisper.

"That'll be hard to dance to." Alex said.

"Acoustic. You've played it acoustic before live. Please, Alex." I said. He nodded and kissed my cheek.

"Of course. I'll get the acoustic recorded and-"

"Whatever you can do, just do it." I said. Alex nodded.

"Okay.. mother and son dance." Alex muttered.

"Your Guardian Angel.. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus." Alex said moments later. I smiled. This was easy.

In a little over an hour, we had all our songs chosen, both content with the list.

"This is gonna be amazing." I muttered. Alex nodded and kissed me fiercely.
