For Baltimore (Part Two)

Delilah~~

Alex woke me up the next day, and we both said goodbye to Jack before heading... home I guess you could say. The ride, however, was silent. It wasn't an angry or awkward silence, but it wasn't all too comfortable either. I closed my eyes as Alex held my hand tightly. He rubbed his thumb on the back of my hand in a soothing motion.

"Alex.." I said quietly; my eyes still shut.

"Mmm." He answered.

"I love you." I whispered.

"I love you too, Delilah. To the moon and back baby." He said. I smiled faintly and squeezed his hand tighter.

"We're here." Alex said several minutes later. I opened my eyes and looked at Alex briefly before getting out of the car. He followed my lead and we wheeled our suitcases inside.

Once we had settled down, we both sat on the couch with a movie and some popcorn. We hardly watched the movie, or at least I didn't. I had my eyes closed, since I was still very tired. I ended up cuddling closer to Alex, and I fell asleep.
