It's just a dare. How bad can it be?

Alex's P.O.V.

I just sang to Jack...he's the first I've sang to....come to think of it, he's my first a lot of things. He's my first boyfriend, the first when it came to sex & I bottomed, the first I sang to, the first person to have me get jealous, my first....love. It was true when Rian said I'm not the type of guy to like being tied down, but Jack changed my mind...I want to stay with him as long as I can.

Jack's taking me somewhere. I have no idea where but he told me to look my best. I don't want to look too fancy though, so I just put on my black skinny jeans, my best Blink-182 shirt, my new black converse, & my favorite gray beanie. I thought I looked pretty decent, if I do say so myself. I really want to know where Jack's taking me. I bet it'll be fun.

"Babe, you ready?" Jack asked, coming into my room.

"Yup! Where are we going?! I'm so excited! Tell me, Jack." I was smiling my ass off. I knew Jack was a real sweet type of guy, so I'm expecting something romantic tonight. Who knows, he might just surprise me & take me to some weird sex show. Haha, nah that's weird.

"It's a surprise, Lexy. Just get in the car, I'm driving." I gave Jack the keys & we got in my car. I was a little over protective of my car so I was a little nervous about him driving.

"Jack...y'know how to drive, right?" I asked.

"Haha, Lex. I'v known how to drive since I was 14." Jack said back. 14?!

"But that's not even a legal age! What the hell, Jack." I said.

"I know it's not. My parents just never really gave a shit. My mom was hooked on her drugs & my dad was too busy cheating on my mom everyday." Jack spoke. I feel bad for him, he doesn't even have good parents. "I just kinda took the car one day when I was done with my dad's bullshit & drove away. I got lost the first time & crashed straight into a police car. It was funny though, the police took me back to my house & my parents got fined."

"Wow....so, have your parents changed since then?" I asked shyly, wanting to know more about his life.

"Uh...well my mom's still hooked on drugs. My dad got a divorce & moved out to go live with the girl he was cheating with on my mom." Jack said. He didn't really seem too bothered by any of it. So I decided to ask more.

"Do you miss him?" I asked.

"Who? My dad?" Jack asked.

"Yea, do you ever want him back?" I asked. Jack stayed silent for about a minute & then answered.

"Nah. He beat me lot's of times, I'd go to school with bruises everywhere, black eyes, the school didn't do anything about it. No one ever does. I'm just glad he's dead now. Before you ask how he died, I'll just tell you." Jack paused & then continued. I was pretty fascinated with the story. "So, my dad was a real old guy, 65, I'd say that's pretty old. He died last year in prison. He was in there for two reasons, one, the cops found out about him beating me, & two, he murdered his girlfriend after a fight they had."

"Oh my god...." I breathed out. Jack's life story seems like a movie to me.

"Anyway, while he was in prison, his girlfriends ex was in there too, for god knows what, & that's how he died. His girlfriends ex killed him, I'm assuming for revenge?" Jack finished talking & I was just so shocked. Poor Jack...god, his parents are shit. I wish I could have something to say like 'I know, it's tough, but you'll get through it.' but honestly, I can't say that if I don't know, I haven't been through that. All my life I was raised by my mom, yea my dad was there, but he didn't raise me. He came home for food & money, then he'd go to work. He was never home, & he hated me. He's also dead, from a heart attack though...I actually miss him. My mom was always there for me. And she still is.

"Jack, I'm sorry." I spoke.

"It's fine, lex. I don't need anyone but you." Jack replied. He took my hand & I squeezed it tight, I kissed the top of his hand.

"I love you, Jack." I spoke.

"I love you too. We're here by the way." Jack spoke. I looked up & my eyes widened & my jaw dropped at the sight.
