Jack POV

I woke up from a nice dream about Alex after a few not so nice dreams about my past when some shrill, annoying sound was emitted from somewhere to my right. After a moment of sheer confusion I realized it was Alex’s alarm. I groaned when I remembered Alex really needed to work today.

He hurried to shut off the alarm and finally, I was able to bathe in silence again. He lightly tapped my shoulder and I slowly turned around. He lay there, looking at me. He seemed to be a bit more awake than me but only a tiny bit.

“Hi Jack,” he greeted me with a little smile. “How was your rest of the night?” I thought about it shortly.

“Nice actually, I had a good dream,” I replied. He didn’t need to know that this dream had involved him in some… very explicit positions. I blushed. I was actually still hard from it but I was praying that it’d go away soon.

“I’m so glad,” he said, blushing a tad bit too. I was curious.

“Why’re you blushing?”

“Erm, it’s nothing. You wouldn’t wanna know,” he answered quickly. But I wasn’t ready to give up.

“No, tell me,” I insisted. I had to beg for some more until he finally muttered a “Fine…” and told me. I must say, he had been right, I wouldn’t have wanted to know about my part in it although his part was really nice.

“You… kinda talked a little bit during this dream and I…” It was my turn to blush and I did an excellent job, a beetroot was pale compared to me.

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry,” I mumbled. I wanted to bury my face and never see anyone ever again. How embarrassing.

“No, nothing to be sorry about… it was kinda nice for me?” Alex said very, very quietly.

“What do you mean?” I said curiously, coming out from under the blanket.

“No, nothing,” he stammered, now blushing just like I had. I begged again and eventually, he gave in.

“Imight’vepleasuredmyselfduringitbecauseitwashot…” he mumbled very quickly. Despite his efforts to make it not understandable, I understood. We both blushed simultaneously and then laughed.

“It’s okay, and you should wake me up next time you do this,” I said after some time. I even winked. He smirked and pulled me closer for a few more seconds before sighing.

“We gotta get up,” he said. I nodded. But wait, what was I going to do today?

I asked him exactly that and he just replied with, “You’re gonna come with me.” I didn’t know what to say. I was scared on one hand but excited on the other.

“Can you just bring me along?”

“Sure, my boss is very relaxed on that. He said if we ever find someone who could be a good addition to the company, we should bring them along,” he replied with a smile. He leaned in for a quick kiss and whispered in my ear, “And I think you’d be great there just like everywhere else.” He left to get some clothes and I just stood there, dumbfounded.

But what to wear? I went up to Alex and asked about it. He smiled and led me to his closet. He gave me a suit he didn’t wear that often. I was so happy. I hadn’t worn anything like a suit in… ever actually; neither had I been able to say “I gotta leave for work,” in ages.

Alex brewed us a coffee and then stuffed some things into his bag. He gave me a backpack, a notebook and a pencil as well as a key to the apartment and a bit of money. “In case we go home not together,” he explained.

I was so excited that I almost forgot to put on my shoes. We left for the short walk to his workplace and I found myself nervous. What about a possible job interview there? Alex noticed I was nervous and calmed me down.

“You’ll do just fine, don’t worry. And when we come home today, you can play on my guitar,” he promised. I felt better instantly at the prospect of getting to play the guitar and entered the building complex he worked in notably calmer than I had left his place.
