Your Lost Boy

Eight

Eight

I woke up when I felt the van park and heard Jack kill the engine. I sat up slowly, finding Alex was dead asleep still. He looked so adorable when he slept and I know that I have get used to see him like this again. He made me smile all the time for the little things he does.
"Alex wake up, we're here," I called to him softly as I tapped on his shoulder to wake him up.
"We're home already. Well damn, welcome home Jules," he smiled sweetly before yawning and playing with his hair, causing me to giggle.
Alex and I climbed out of the van to result in me getting tackled by Rian and Micah. I was thrown into the snow with only my hoodie and beanie to keep me somewhat warm. To say I was cold would be an understatement.
"Welcome home Juli," the two cheered after they got off of me.
"Thanks guys. Can someone please peel me out of the snow," I replied as Alex came and scooped me out of my dent in the snow and dusted me clean of snow before he wrapped me up in his jacket to keep me from getting any colder.

After my pleasent greeting from Peyton and Baz, Alex and I carried my boxes up to our room so I could unpack my stuff. I was sifting through my stuff while Alex sat on the bed with his guitar playing some his older songs so I had a soundtrack to work to. He soon stopped and put his guitar by the pillows. I got up and straddled his lap so I could into his deep, warm, chocolate-brown eyes.
"What's on you mind, Alex," I asked as I wrapped my arms around his neck so I wouldn't fall backwards onto the floor.
"Do you like stars," he asked.
"Yeah, why do you ask," I replied.
"I want to take you stargazing. There's a forest just outside town with a meadow. Zack's lending me his truck so we can lay on an air mattress and blankets. During the warmer months I used to go and lay out in the grass for hours," he explined as he wrapped his strong arms around my waist, holding me close to him.
"Alex I'd love to go stargazing," I replied, kissing him deeply with our tongues entangled in a graceful dance.
Alex pulled up into the meadow just after the sun finished setting. As he went to set up the air mattress and blankets in the flatbed, I sifted through my purse to grab the watchbox that held his birthday present inside and put it in my coat pocket. I then went into the back and grabbed the cooler we filled with wine, beer, and water and Alex's laptop bag that held his trusty macbook.
"You got everything," Alex asked as I struggled to close the truck door with my back since my arms were full.
"Yeah I think so," I replied as I carried everything to the tailgate whee he waitied. Alex took the cooler from me and put it next to the mattress. He took his laptop bag and set on my mattress before he climbed his tall behind up onto the tailgate, leaving me on the ground. I tried several times to jump high enought to get at least my ass onto the tailgate, but Zack's truck was massive. Alex was keeling over in laughter at my struggle.
"Alright let me help you before I die from laughing," he chuckled as he took hold of my hands and lifting me up onto the tailgate.
"Now I know how Baz feels," I sassed as I sat down on the mattress.

We laid on the mattress for a couple hours. Alex drew the constellations out for me to see with his finger as he told me the stories behind them. I was cuddled close to him to keep warm due to the low temperatures of the night. I was really tipsy on the wine we brought and Alex was milking a beer. I decided that now was time to give him his watch.
"Alex I have something for you," I said sweetly with a slight slur in my voice.
"You have something for me," he asked.
"Happy late 24th birthday," I hand him the box. He opened it and his jaw dropped.
"Jules this a Rolex. This is a really expensive watch. How did you," I pressed my gloved finger against his lips to cut him off.
"I still sold my prints while I was at school. I bought while I was out with Lexi and I knew this black Rolex was perfect for you. I even had it engraved," I flipped the watch over in his hand so he could read it.
"To the man that stole my heart, saved my life, and gave my all the time in the world to find way. I turely, madly, deeply love you. Thank you so much for everything. Forever yours, Julesie Bear," he smiled widley at the engraving, "Jules, thank you so much. I love too. So much you have no idea. I wish I could stop time at this moment to lay under these stars with you."

Notes

Cuteness chapter. Like Alex, I love the stars. Whenever I go to my granmother vacation property she keeps in northwestern Michigan, I look straight up from the family bonfire just to see the stars. If I could, I would love to stargaze with Alex and talk about space stuff like a pair of nerds.
I'm excited to be getting Alex and Jules engaged soon. I'm going to update this evening with it hopefully. Due the weather last night, my internet connection tanked due to overload of people sitting on their e-mails last night praying for a snow day. This made me have to retype this chapter since the posting failed. I hope you all enjoyed this one.
