Your Lost Boy

Seventeen

Once Alex and I got back home to Baltimore, we had to take me for my doctor's appointment to check on little Tom and Stella. I want to make sure everything was going well for them and that I wasn't at risk for any complications during labor. The last thing I want is to leave Alex alone with our twins. I want to be the mom to them that I never had. Me dying on them was not an option.
"Ah welcome back Julia. How has your pregnancy been these last couple months," the doctor asked as she walked into the exam room.
"Pretty smoothly for the most part. The morning sickness finally passed, my mood swings are crazy, and my back is killing me from the huge load up front," I commented as I rested my hand on my bump.
"I'll recommend some pain killers that are safe for you to take for your back. Now I want to know about some family medical history so I can add it to your chart," the doctor replied.
"My mom had complications when I was born and they costed her her life. Can we try to prevent ay from happening to me," I told her.
"I'll put you on bed rest. You can walk around and everything, but try to stay relaxed and off your feet as much as possible. Also don't try to lift anything over five pounds. It'll help keep your body from straining. We can also opt for a c-section to deliver the twins and arrange a day for the procedure so you know exactly when your babies will be born," she informed us.
"I'd like the c-section. It's safer for me and the twins. I'd like to have it the week before my due date, around December 9th would be good," I told her.
"Alright, I'll set you up for your apointment for you c-section when we get closer to the date. For now just come back in a month for another check up," the doctor handed me the appointment reminder card before leaving the room.
Jack and Jasmin decided to be the ones to take me up to New York for my final fitting. Alex and I were going to try to get married in September, but moved it up to August since I'm pregnant now and didn't want to wait. I had told the people at Kleinfeld to let out my dress based on the measurements I gave them of my now very pregnant figure and the new date for my wedding.
"Julia Caspin," one of the ladies working the alteration department called. I stood up from my seat slowly, since my center of balnce changed due to my bouncing beans growing in my tummy.
"That would be me," I told her as I followed her to a changing room.
"My good ness look at you. A future bride and mommy. Do you know what you're having," she asked as we found my room.
"My fiancé and I are having a boy and a girl," I told her.
"So who did you bring along for the fitting," shs asked.
"I brought our best man Jack and his fiancée Jasmin who is one of my bridesmaids," I told her.
The girl got me into my dress and it fit perfectly. She explained that she left a little loose by my bum in the case that grow a little more before my wedding. I found it to be perfect and I was happy with my dress. So I finsihed paying off my dress and took it home. I couldn't wait for the day to come at last.
Alex and I arrived at the country club we picked for the venue for our wedding and reception. The people working the country were putting up the decorations for our wedding which was in two days. The lilys and daffidils I picked for the center pieces on the table looked so stunning. Everything was going according to plan. I was actually tearing up seeing everything coming together.
"To think in two days, you'll be Mrs. Julia Gaskarth. Then in December we'll be parents to two happy twins," Alex beamed as he helped me walk around and take in everything.
"I know. And to think we had met and fell in love two years ago, Now we're getting married and starting a family. I never dreamed of this happening for me before you came into my life," I hated my life before I met Alex, now I can't imagine my life without him in it.
We rehearsed everything and made everything was perfect. Alex and I kept our vows from each other so we'd be surprised on the big day. Once we had everything nailed perfectly to the t, we all went into the banquet hall of the country club and had the rehearsal dinner. Alex and I held each other's hands during the entire dinner since he was going to Jack's for the bachelor party all day tomorrow and I was having Jasmin, May, and Cass over at the house to have our bachelorette pampering day tomorrow.
"I'm going to miss you so much," Alex sighed as we had our foreheads pressed together and his hand on my baby bump.
"We'll miss you too. But it'll be so much better to go through a whole day without me at your side to be reunited with me when I become your wife," I told him.
"I was away from you for months on end and nearly went insane, what makes you think I can I stand the waiting for our wedding day to come when I get to see walk down the aisle. I'll lose my mind imagining what you'll look like," he whined.
"You need to go. It's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. Now go have fun with the boys. I need girl time," I kissed him tenderly.
"I can't wait to see you again, Jules. But it'll be when you become Mrs. Gaskarth," he kissed me again before finally getting into his car with Rian riding shotgun since Cass was taking me home in his car.

Notes

I am so happy to be working with Jess. She'll be helping me bring this story to a close and writing the last story of Alex and Jules's story. Which I still need to figure out a title for. It'll be told from Stella and Alex's POVs. ♥♥♥
