Gray found herself laughing at Jack while he made faces at her through the recording booth's glass window.

It's been two months already, and the album's almost done. There were only two more songs to add. Ty, Dylan and Josh would be in LA in two days, she dearly missed the sloths who never seemed to be sick of hanging around her.

"Alright, we're done here." smiled Alex pressing some buttons on the keyboard then gave Gray a thumbs up, she took off the headphones , and put them on the stool in the booth, then walked out.

"We should do something" Zack said suddenly from his spot on the couch.
It was understandable that he wanted to do something fun, because over the course of the two months all they did was record, and try to get Gray to stay home instead of clubbing every weekend. Which was a hard task it self. None of them expected the girl to actually put up a fight.

"Let's go to the beach" grinned Jack, "It's about 4, so we can just eat there and set up a fire" he added. Gray's eyes let up at the words spoken, everyone knew it, especially when she gave Alex a puppy dog look, begging to go.
"Well, let's get everything and go!" the caramel eyed man cheered, making his friends pile out of the studio so fast, they tripped a couple times.



Jack watched as Gray ran around laughing by the shore, with a laughing Zack running after her. They were all in swimming trunks, and Gray in her colorful bikini.
"Stop eye raping her" he heard his best friend snicker from beside him on the warm, soft sand.
"I'm not eye raping her!" the raven haired man snapped, then mumbled an apology, not meaning to snap.
"Just ask her out already" urged Alex.
"It's not that easy" responded Jack.
"You go, ask her out, she says yes, and our fans create a ship name for you!" exclaimed Alex, earning a slap in the back of the head from Jack.
"It's not. It's been two months and we barely know her. She wont open up to anyone, and i think she's closest to Zack, and even he doesn't know much about her" sighed Jack.

Alex felt bad for him, he's never seen his friend in such a situation. Or in any love life crisis really, since he's never had a serious relationship.
But he did know that the pair wasn't really different. If anything, they were alike in so many ways, but they've never noticed. And him, being an observer, noticed just enough to know he wouldn't let his best friend slip away from asking the girl out.

Funny how she's named Gray. He thought, she's more colorful than gray. Alex chuckled at the thought. It did sound funny.


Everyone was sitting around the bon fire warming up. They all put on something warm so they could keep warm. With the exception of Gray, of course.
She was shivering in her white, navy striped shirt, so Jack, being the gentleman he is, took off his black zip up hoodie and handed to her, leaving himself in only a white t-shirt.
Gray tried to refuse the hoodie "But you'll get cold" she reasoned.
He simply shrugged, "I'll be fine, now put it on" he took the hoodie and put it on her, making Alex snicker from next to him.

Gray took out her cigarette pack and lighter, let up a cigar and inhaled.
"You'll end up killing yourself" muttered Rian.
"I know that" she replied exhaling.
"Well, why are you smoking then?" he asked, that gained the guys' attention. They all had the same question in their heads since day one.
"Each person has his own escape, something to comfort and relax him, letting them forget about real life for at least a second. It could be something productive like reading, writing, music, art maybe. Or something that destroys a person, but they'd never admit it out loud or enough to quit. Like drinking, smoking, self harm even" she replied meaning every word.

Her words kept repeating in Jack's head. And it only made him want to know her more, it was like he needed to.
