Fifteen

Life back home without Jack has been hell. I've gotten maybe three hours of sleep a night. I'm miserable and having four fussy babies, two of which are my god kids, makes it hard on my nerves to continue functioning like this. My mom has helped, I keep monitors for both sets of babies in my room so I can answer the cries and take care of the babies. I was relieved when I was finally able to settle down for a nice facetime chat with my husband and my best friend.
"Hi guys," I greeted as I answered the facetime call.
"Hi Mir. How's the battles on the homefront," Jack asked, not noticing my heavy bags under my eyes or my dull hair that's in a tangled mess of a bun. I felt terrible and I looked just as bad as I felt.
"This is going to drive me crazy. Can you guys just settle into studio so I can have both of you being dad's and help carry the weight around here," I bitched, being so exhausted made me bitter towards those that weren't children.
"Well we are due for another album so I think swing that and be back in LA after this tour and help you recover," Jack was kissing up to me, knowing that I was a bitch whenI was sleep deprived.
"Well hope that this tour ends soon at least. my brain is going to fry if I don't get more sleep soon," I whined.

It's been a month and a half since the boys left and I was doing better. Alex and Alina stopped crying in the middle of the night since I asked Mina to sacrifice her CD of Jack's music so the twins could sleep. I instead played my digital copies I got onto my ipod for her and had her bunk with me for the duration of the tour. I was facetiming with Jack quietly while Mina slept in my arms.
"I see that you have Mina in bed with you. Is she having nightmares again," Jack asked.
"No. I found the solution to the fussy Barakat twins case, They needed your music to sleep. So I compromised with Mina to let her sleep with me while I had my ipod play your music. Now I'm sleeping more and Mina is even happier too," I reported.
"Well I'm glad that's what's happening back home. How much has Alex and Alina grown since I've been away," he asked.
"A lot. They look more and more like you and me everyday. Alina's hair is curling like mine does and Alex is still much bigger than Alina, but he did have an advantage since Alina was underweight at first, but she's right behind him. I think she'll be tiny like me and Mina and Alex with end being tall like you," I told him.
"Well either way they are all beautiful and I can't wait to come home in a few more weeks," Jack beamed.
"And then you get to be the parent for a while so I can catch up on my sleep," I joked.
"Mir," Jack said in a asking-like tone.
"Yes Jack," I replied.
"Happy fourth aniversary," Jack showed me a charm braclet over the camera. It had charms for us meeting, graduating, getting married, Mina's birth, my first full moon, and the twin's birth. It was beautiful and I started to tear up at how happy I was at this.
"Awe, Jack I can't wait to wear it," I gushed.
"I can't wait to see it on you either," Jack replied.
"Jack, tomorrow night is a full moon. We have to talk before then about the arson. I want to make sure that it was just punk kids, not hunters. If they decide to strike again they could get us and I'm not in the mood to get my house burned or my children and my best friend's children put in danger," I told him.
"I know this. Tay is coming over with her pack to help out with protection of the house. You are to gather the little ones into the living room and guard them with Mina. This was Alex's plan. He wants you indoors and to have the Gaskarth twins and our twins in their strolers so you can pull them out like a dog sled if anything should happen and take them straight to Cassadee and Rian's so Cass can help you get the babies to safety," Jack explained the game plan.
"Works for me. Now I'm going to bed, lots of planning to do for tomorrow night. I love you Jack," I said goodbye to him for the night,
"I love you too. Sleep good Mir," Jack and I hung up at the same time and I allowed sleep to take me for the night.

Notes

So I'm picking up speed on the arson issue. This is going to be lots of fun. Be ready for some badass mommy action from Mirela.
