One

"Mina come back her you goof ball. You are worse than your Daddy," I called as my daughter ran from room to room upstairs in just her diaper. Jack was coming home tonight from an award show in the UK and I wanted to take him out for a nice dinner.
"Cosmina Elizabeta Barakat get your troublemaking booty over here so I can put your dress on," I had to use her full name. She finally stopped in Jack's music room.
"You are so spoiled by him I swear. Now let's go get pretty for Daddy," I scooped her up and she squealled with giggles.
I finallt got her into her her white dress and matching sandal. I then took her to my room to door her hair as well as get myself dressed and ready. I was finally ready when I heard the door opened down stairs. Mina started laughing and shreiking with excitement. Jack walked in and did a lunge pose and he got a huge smile out of both me and Mina.
"Hey baby girl," he scooped Mina off the bed and spun around with her, "You look so pretty today."
"How was the UK without me," I asked him as he put Mina down.
"Boring. You and Mina being there would ahve been amazing. Maybe the three of us could travel to the UK for a while. So what's the ocassion," he asked.
"I'm talking you out for a welcome home dinner," that's when Mina came running back in with a picture she drew and handed it to Jack.
"What's this sweetie? A picture for me? Who's in the picture baby girl," he kneeled down to her. Mina tapped my leg, his shulder, and Bonnie's head. Bonnie replied with a big sloppy kiss on her cheek.
"She drew yesterday. Alex went on facetime for Mina to see you. She did it while she was watching you having fun and smiling," Mina gave Jack a cheeky grin as I bragged about her picture.
"I'm going to make a copy of this for me to take on tour with me when you and mommy can't okay baby girl," Mina nodded and hugged him tightly around his neck.

When we came back from the restaurant, I found Alex and Lisa at our doorstep with Baz and Peyton. Jack had Mina in his arms.
"Alex, Lisa, what's wrong? What brought you guys here," I asked as I guided them inside.
"Our house was arsoned while we were in the UK to celebrate our engagement. We've lost the house. We salvaged what we could," Lisa sobbed. I pulled into a warm hug to let get it all out.
"Is it alright if crash here while the house gets repaired. I'll cover groceries for us," Alex asked.
"You're like a brother to us Alex. You are more than welcome to stay here. Don't worry about the groceries. Mir handles it. Just get a list of stuff you guys would like here and she'll try to gt it for you guys," Jack put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

That night, after I had put Mina to bed, Jack was sitting ont he edge of the bed. He looked worried.
"Hey what's the matter," I asked him as I sat next to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
"What if the arsons were hunters laying a warning? I'm worried about you and Mina, Mir. I don't want you in the cross hairs," he was a wreck.
"Jack I bet it was some punk kids trying to be badasses. The last hunter that came after us is dead and gone. I promise you everything will be fine," I kissed him on his stubbled cheek and ran my fingers through his hair.
"Maybe you're right Mir," he kissed me softly before I got up to get my worn out butt to bed.

Notes

So we start with cuteness with a running Mina being a pain for her mommy. But who would set fire to Alex and Lisa's place? Hopefully they are the only victims. I hope you guys enjoy this story. I'm working hard on it.
