Who Said It Was Gonna Be Easy?

"you want to be my smoking buddy?" he raised his eyebrow at me,

"yes"

"c'mon, let's go then" he grinned. He took my hand in his and pulled me out of the building to his car.

"where are we going?"

"you didn't think we were going to sit outside school and do drugs, did you?"

"n-no"

"we're going to this place I know. Have you ever smoked before?"

"no. I've never even gotten drunk"

"what?! Seriously? Dude, I'm gonna get you absolutely shitfaced"

"Good" I told him. He grinned at me then returned his attention to the road again. We sat in silence until we arrived at a small house. Vic got out of the car and I copied him.

"you look really sad, what's happened?"

"get me drunk and high first and then I'll tell you" I bargained. He nodded and took my hand in his again. He took me inside the little house and turned on the lights.

"who's house is this?"

"my dealers. He's my friend so we crash here when we get high"

"oh" he let go of my hand and went into the kitchen, reappearing a minute later with a bottle of vodka, a bottle of jack daniels and some shot glasses. He poured 12 shots and pushed half of them towards the side of the table where I was sitting. He sat next to me on the settee, our thighs touching.

"cheers" he said as we clinked our first shots together.


After nearly an hour, vic started rolling up a joint.

"so..you gonna tell me what happened?" he asked. I downed two more shots causing vic to chuckle at me, then started telling him.

"okay so you know Jack Barakat?"

"your boyfriend is our teacher?!"

"my boyfriend WAS our teacher. We're over now because I saw him kissing rian today"

"he kissed rian?! What a fucking asshole! Rian beats you up and your boyfriend fucking kissed him?! I could fucking punch him. I could fucking punch them both. I'm sorry, lex. You deserve so much better than that. You deserve so much better than him"

"it's okay. I just want to forget about him for a while"

"well, you came to the right guy" vic lit the joint and took a long drag from it before passing it to me.

"just suck the smoke in and inhale it then breathe it out, ok? You'll probably cough a bit the first time" vic told me. I nodded and did what he said. I coughed and spluttered for a minute and vic put his arm around me. He took another drag of it and passed it back to me, blowing the smoke into my face gently. I had another go, this time only coughing a little bit.

"there you go. See? It's nice, right?"

"mhmm, it's good" I agreed sincerely. He grinned and we continued to pass it between us until it was gone.

"you're a nice kind of high" he said.

"hmm?"

"some people go insane when they get high and some people get over-emotional about everything but you're one of the people who handle it well and just go a little weird"

"oh. Well that's pretty fucking awesome"

"you're pretty fucking awesome"

"I might be pretty but we're not fucking"

"you shut your pretty little mouth right now, gaskarth"

"or what? You gonna make me, huh-" my words were cut off by vic pressing his lips to mine. He nibbled my lower lip gently then ran his tongue over it. I opened my mouth and at the same time as he pushed his tongue into my mouth, he pushed me down on the settee. His hands made their way under my top. One hand settled on my waist.

"cute ass little fuck" vic practically growled against my lips as his other hand moved to rub my nipple in his fingers gently causing a stifled moan to escape from my lips.

"Alex, babe, you said you want to forget about him. So stop feeling guilty for doing this. He cheated on you with Rian, don't hold back. Forget about him now"

"I know, okay, okay. Now kiss me again? Please?" he nodded with a smile before kissing me roughly.

"I've wanted to kiss you for so long. I'm better for you than jack is. I wouldn't hurt you like he did"

"uh-huh. Ok."

"I promise I wouldn't. Give me a chance, please?" vic pulled me closer to him and nuzzled my hair. This angered me. I pushed him away and wrenched my sleeve up.

"see this?!" I was on my feet now.

"these are all fucking promises, vic! Promises that were forgotten seconds after they'd been made! Broken fucking promises! People don't keep promises they make to me, they just break them, ok?!"

"that's where I'm different. People who broke promises they made to you didn't realise they've also broken you. I just want to try and fix you" he stood up and took my hands in his.

"you don't have to be hurt by anybody anymore, I'm here for you, I'll protect you"

"that's what jack said too"

"but instead of kicking rians head in, he kissed him. I swear to god if rian touches even a hair on your head again, I'll go after him"

"vic.."

"no, I'm gonna make that prick wish he'd never picked on you in the first place. It's not fair, Alex"

"lifes not fair"

"I know. C'm'ere, kitten"

"kitten?"

"yeah. That's you. Kitten. It's a cute nickname. Don't question it, I'm drunk"

"and high"

"and high" vic pulled me into his arms and fell back onto the settee. We kissed again for a few minutes until my phone buzzed in my pocket. I took it out and saw jack was calling me. I just let it ring through to voicemail. He rang again 3 more times and each time I left it. The next time he rang, vic took my phone from my hand and declined the call before telling me I had a few texts off him asking where I was. He then took the battery out of my phone.

"there we go. Now we won't be disturbed" he grinned then rolled us over so he was on top of me.
