Who Said It Was Gonna Be Easy?

When I woke up, Jack was just stirring. He rolled over in my arms again and laid his head against me whilst tightening his grip on me.

"morning" I murmured.

"morning"

"good sleep?"

"mhmm..kinda. I'm still a bit tired"

"go back to sleep then"

"no. I don't want to waste our weekend together by sleeping"

"fine. Wanna watch a movie?"

"and cuddle" jack nodded.

"sure thing, baby" I kissed him softly on the head.

"lex..? About last night.."

"what is it?"

"I'm sorry for acting like that"

"jack, it's okay. I dont mind at all. I'm just glad I can be here for you" he snuggled his head into my chest and we just lay cuddling for a few minutes.

"lex?"

"yeah?" I asked whilst I twirled a piece of his hair in my fingers absentmindedly.

"will you go and get a movie? I can't be bothered moving"

"sure" I chuckled, kissing him on the cheek before sliding out of bed. I reappeared a couple of minutes later after picking the girliest romcom I could find. I put the disk in and grabbed the remote before jumping back into bed. I pulled jack into my arms, smothering him in kisses before he halfheartedly pushed me off with a laugh.

"what was that for?" he asked as he got himself comfy again. I shrugged.

"making up for lost time? I dunno, I just felt like it" I laughed with him.

A few films later, jack and I decided to get up. I went and had a shower whilst he made some breakfast and after we'd eaten, jack went for a shower.

{JACK'S POV}


When I got out of the shower, I could hear Alex playing music loudly. I went and got dressed before making my way back to the lounge, standing in the doorway of the kitchen for a minute. Alex was dancing around and singing at the top of his voice. Know Your Enemy by Greenday was playing and he was air guitaring but trying to sing and air drum at the same time. A grin spread over my face as I watched: I'd never seen Alex this happy and carefree.


I crept up behind him and put my arm around his waist. He jumped and spun around quickly, his face red. I grinned and instead of saying anything, just kissed him, pushing my tongue inside his mouth straight away. He kissed back with just as much passion, his hands moving to my hips to pull me closer to him. I broke the kiss off and, with barely any thought, told him I wanted him to meet my parents.

"what?"

"I want you to meet my parents" I repeated.

"when?"

"today"

"today?!"

"yeah. An impulse! Spontaneous decision! Today feels right. Today feels like the day" I babbled. Alex looked at me with a curious suspicion before he nodded.

"yeah, okay, let's go. Let's go and meet your parents before I change my mind" he said quickly.

"seriously? You're just agreeing? I thought it'd take ages to persuade you!"

"it would usually. I dunno, I'm feeling good today"

"alright! Well! Let's go then!" I grinned and took his hand, pulling him out of my apartment, grabbing my keys on the way out.
