Who Said It Was Gonna Be Easy?

Cassadee was in the rest of my lessons that day and she insisted on sitting with me and questioning me about jack. She asked me a ridiculous amount of questions like what my favourite thing was about him (I had no answer), what his hair looked like when he'd only just woken up (I spoke in detail until Cassadee teased me for blushing) and various questions about jacks dick (I refused to answer with the reason that jack was mine, nobody elses)


By the time school finished, I was quite ready to go home with jack. I met him in his classroom, throwing my arms around him as soon as I saw him. His arms wrapped around me and he buried his face into my neck.

"you guys are so cute!" I heard cassadees voice say. Me and jack sprung apart and jack cleared his throat awkwardly.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to come see you guys. Alex, you dropped your keys when you left English" she held out a set of keys to me which I took with a small "thanks".

"what did you want to come see us about?" jack asked.

"I dunno, I just wanted to see you guys being all cute"

"was that it?" I asked, raising my eyebrow at her. She nodded and grinned.

"mission complete. Seeya tomorrow, Alex! Bye jack" she called as she practically skipped out of the room. Jack looked at me at the same time I looked at him and he just burst out laughing.

"she's...crazy" he exclaimed as he curled his arm around my waist and pulled me close, kissing me on the forehead.

"mhmm, you don't say"

"cmon, let's go home, baby"

"I like the sound of that" I said quietly.

"what? Going home? Hm, it's been a long day"

"no, no..you called it home..I like the sound of that..home"

"well it feels more like home when you're there"

"it feels more like home to me than anywhere" I admitted, blushing slightly.

"do you have any idea how much I want to kiss you right now?" jack laughed as he pulled me closer to him.

"probably just as much as I wanna kiss you"

"what are we doing standing around here then?" he grinned and pulled me out of the room.


As soon as we were out of the school grounds, jack leant over and kissed me. We sat in silence all the way home, neither of us minding.

"so...you know on your keys?"

"yeah..?"

"did I see a little photograph keyring on them?"

"um..yeah, you did" I admitted, not liking where this conversation was going. The photograph was a picture of my parents. I had a horrible sinking feeling that he was going to ask about them again. I really couldn't tell him yet. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I'd never told anybody.

"I want a picture of us" he said, glancing at me to see how I reacted.

"oh"

"you seem disappointed"

"no, no, I think it's cute but it's just not what I thought you were going to say, that's all"

"oh alright" he smiled and took my hand.

"anyway, that was random"

"not really. I noticed we had no pictures together when I was uploading my video and then it just reminded me when I saw your keys" he explained as he parked at his apartment. I nodded and jumped out of the car as he cut the engine. He threw me his keys and told me to go up.

I did what he said, going up and dumping my bag by his settee and placing his keys on the worktop. After a few minutes I wondered what he was doing. I looked out of the window down at his car and I could just about make out jack sat in his car. He had his head in his hands. I stood and watched him for a minute before he finally got out of his car and closed the car door. He sighed heavily and I moved away from the window. He suddenly appeared a few moments later. I was stood by the worktop where I'd put his keys. His arms snaked around me, making me jump. I turned around to face him, putting my arms around his neck.

"what's up?"

"nothing"

"don't bullshit me"

"nothing, I promise, baby. I'm just stressed from work"

"why? What happened?"

"I don't wanna talk about it right now, lex. We've only just got home"

"right ok..so...um..whaddya­ wanna do then?"

"well I know what I WANT to do" he raised an eyebrow at me.
