Sin

Nineteen

Alex

This was all really strange, but thinking about it brought my mind to ease, sure, homosexuality was a sin according to Christianity, but I wasn't even sure I was gay... it's just Jack. He makes me blush a lot and if he even so much as looks at me, I can't help but smile in the most ridiculous, and last night when Jack took me home I actually told him to his face that I liked him. Yeah, that was a big step for ee, but that fear of rejection soon passed once he reciprocated his feelings, so everything was fine.

Today had gone pretty well, Patrick was back at school so I got to tell him all about it. I recited the Brendon thing, then the call with Rian (and appologised for hanging up on him) and the kiss, I felt a giggling school girl, but I really didn't care. I was too happy.
Between classes I would see Jack in the halls as we passed one another, and then at break and lunch, and now, I was on my way to music class. My favourite class. The reason for thtt may or may not have been due to Jack... I'll let you decide.

Walking into class, I noted that Jack wasn't here yet, he was probably held up by a friend on his way here, but I took my seat and got out my workbook ready for when Mr Armstrong started the lesson. Soon enough, Jack came in looking annoyed and took his seat. Whilst Sir greeted us and took attendance, I let him cool down, then as soon as we were handed out sheets to fill in and the chatter of the students started, I nudged his knee with my own and cleared my throat.

"What's up, buttercup?" I asked.

He waved his hand at me and shrugged, "just some bitch that needs to learn her place, nothing I can't handle."

"Language, Barakat!" I laughed, smacking his arm playfully, causing him to stick out his tongue.

For the next forty or so minutes we worked on the sheet together, it wasn't particularly difficult, just a few practice exam questions, but we wanted to pace ourselves. I tried to ask him about the date we were going on this evening, but he wasn't giving anything away, he just dismissed my questions with a 'wait and see, Princess.' So, I decided to be mean too.

"Hey, Jack?"

"Hmm?"

"Come straight back to mine, we can go out from there." I grinned.

Jack turned his head away from the work to look at me dead serious, "won't your mom be home?"

I smirked at him again, this time over sweetly, "you betcha."

"You want me to meet your mom?"

"Well, first I'll have sort out your clothes, I have a spare shirt in my locker, but yeah, it'll be... fun." I winked.

"Alex, Jack!" Mr Amstrong caleed, walking over to us with a pile of worksheets in his left and whilst the right one ran through his messy black hair, "have you finished?"

We scrambled around for a second, putting our names on and handing them to him .

He skimmed both sides of our sheet and peered over the top of the paper, the corners of his make up lined eyes scrunching as though he were smiling.

"Looks good, boys," he said, lowering the papers, "you guys make a great team."

Before we even had a chance to say anything back, he swivled on his heel and walked off. I just glanced at Jack and shrugged just as the bell for the end of day rang.

I practically dragged him to my locker due to excitement of this 'date. and pulled out my spare button up shirt that I kept here in the event that I spilled something down myself. Jack opted to shove it in his bag and change once we got to the corner on Thames street, so off we walked to Jack's bike. We did our routine thing, he made a joke whilst passing me the helmet, I rolled my eyes at him but got on anyway, wrapping my arms around him and pressing against his back.

Once we were there, Jack changed into the shirt behind a bush, put his band tee in his schoolbag and we made our way to my front door. I realised he'd never seen my house before, it wasn't anything impressive, but Jack was gawping at it.
We steped inside, putting our bags by the door and went to the kitchen, as that's where my mother was everyday when I got back to school. I nodded at Jack and gave him a reassuring smile, silently telling him it would be fine, and he smiled back.

"Hey, mom!" I chirped, walking over and kissing her cheek.

"Afternoon Alexander," she replied, looking up from the food she was preparing and spotted Jack stood awkwardly by the door.

"Mom, you remember Jack, right?"

"Of course, of couse! The St Clemens boy! Nice to finally put a face to the name," she said, extending her and and shaking his.

"Is it okay if I go round his for a few hours? We have a school project," I lied.

"Okay sweetie, be back by 9 though please."

"Course."

With that, we headed up to my room so I could wear something more comfortable, and off we went, on our first ever date.
