Do it for me

It was finally summer vacation. After long nights of tears, and studying, and blah blah blah, we finally got summer vacation.

I was sitting next to Rian in the small car we all managed to pile ourselves and our belongings into.

Jack was grinning, screaming a Blink 182 song at the top of his lungs,” What’s my age again, Delilah?!”

I laughed quietly, shaking my head.”2.”

He smiled at me and winked. “Correct.”

The new friendships had been going good. Alex and Caitlyn were going strong. I became super close with Rian developed a huge crush on Bethany. Jack and Zack were still my best friends. Everything was good for now.

I glanced at Zack who was in the driver’s seat, humming quietly to the song. I grinned and leaned my head near his ear, smiling. “How much farther?”

Zack smiled and shrugged. ”Half an hour.”

I grinned. “Half an hour everyone!!”

Alex and Caitlyn started clapping, and everyone else joined along.

I loved my friends.

We finally got to the cabin and piled out of the car, looking around.

I smiled and stared at the huge cabin in front of us. “That’s a cabin?”

Jack chuckled. “More like a lake house..” He muttered.

I grinned. “It’s beautiful!”

Zack opened the trunk to the car and started handing everyone their bags and what not.

Caitlyn giggled, kissing Alex’s cheek as he whispered something in her ear.

Alex smiled and walked towards the house with Zack, carrying some bags inside.

I glanced at Caitlyn and smiled. “You guys seem to be doing great.”

Caitlyn smiled and nodded, blushing. “Yeah, we are. He gave me a promise ring…”

I smiled, “That’s great! Where is it?”

She laughed quietly. “It didn’t fit, so it’s getting resized.” She smiled and nodded.

I grinned. ”I’m so happy for you two.. I always knew he liked you.”

Caitlyn smiled. “I hope you can be happy with someone one day, too.”

I bit my lip, shrugging. “I’m actually good with where I’m at for now.”

Caitlyn grinned. “Do you like Rian?”

I shook my head. “He’s a brother to me..”

Caitlyn nodded. ”Let’s carry these beers inside, lovely. “She grinned and grabbed the 12 packs, handing one to me.

I laughed quietly. “Got enough beer, Jack?”

Jack grinned. “I stole a lot from my mom, sorry.” He muttered, locking the car up once everything else was carried inside.

It was about 8 pm and we were all huddled around the fireplace, curled into our blankets. We all had our fair share of drinks, and the empty bottles were laying on the coffee table. Caitlyn and Alex were laying there, cuddling. Bethany and Zack had disappeared actually, and been nowhere in sight. And then there was me, Rian, and Jack, still sitting up.

“Where’d Bethany and Zack go?”

Jack bit his lip, shrugging. “Um..I’m not sure.”

I looked at Jack and glanced at him, nodding. I looked over, seeing Rian who was a bit disappointed. “I’m sorry, Ri.”

Rian shrugged. “She can be with whoever she wants,” He muttered.

I frowned. “How about we all go swimming?”

Rian smiled and shook his head. “You and Jack go. I think I’m going to take a shower and go to bed.”

I nodded and stood up, grabbing me and Jack another bottle of beer. I bent down and kissed Rian’s cheek softly, smiling. ”Come to me if you need anything.”

Rian smiled and nodded. “Thanks, Del.”

Jack and I waved to Alex and Caitlyn, and then we headed out to the pool that was behind the house. I glanced at him and handed him a beer, frowning.

“You okay?” He muttered.

I nodded. “Rian’s like my brother..He’s always like Bethany.”

Jack sighed, nodding. “Bethany and Zack is a weird pair.”

I laughed quietly. “Me and Zack were a weird pair.”

He laughed and shrugged. “He treated you right, though.”

I bit my lip and opened the beer, taking a sip. “I guess so.”

Jack looked at me and smiled. “So, are we actually going swimming?”

I giggled. “Of course, Jack.” I put my beer down and slipped my vans tank top off, revealing my black bra. “If I knew it was a lake house, I would have brought a bikini.”

Jack chuckled. “That’s fine.”

I rolled my eyes. “Of course it’s fine.” I laughed and slipped my jean shorts off, watching him as he stripped down to his boxers.

Jack smiled and grabbed my hand. “We jump on 3.”

I giggled and nodded, counting to 3 with him. Once we got to 3, we jumped in and I went under, coming right back up. “It’s actually warm!”

Jack smiled. “Heated pool.”

I grinned and looked around, floating on my back as I listened to the crickets. “This is nice..”

Jack smiled. “I used to come here all the time to get away. It’s nice to bring my friends.”

I smiled and looked at him. “Thanks for bringing me.”

Jack bit his lip and nodded. “Anytime, Delilah. You know I’d do anything for you.”
