Chapter 12

I woke up, feeling my head on someone’s chest. I opened my eyes, yawning and looked up. It wasn’t who it should have been. It should be Jack, my boyfriend. But once again, it wasn’t. It was Zack.

“Morning.” He gave a small grin.

I jumped because I thought he was asleep.

He chuckled. “Sorry. I didn’t feel like opening my eyes.” He opened them and smiled, looking down at me.

I bit my lip softly and smiled, sitting up. “Good morning.”

Zack sat up and yawned. “I have no books for school. I guess I should get home to get them.”

I smiled and nodded. “Maybe I can get ready and we can stop at your house before we get to school.”

He nodded and smiled. “Okay.”

I bit my lip and stood up, grabbing my clothes from the dresser drawers. I went into the bathroom, quickly putting on my clothes and pulling my hair into a bun. I yawned and brushed my teeth, getting the rest of myself ready. I walked back out to Zack who was putting on his shoes.

He looked up at me and I smiled. “Ready?”

I nodded and put my book bag on my shoulders, walking out of my room. “I guess so.”

I walked behind my, shutting my door. “You’ll have to face him one day.”

I nodded.

After stopping at Zack’s house and letting him get ready, we headed to school.

I walked inside the school with Zack, glancing at our usual group at their usual lockers. I walked over to them, glancing at Jack.

“Morning, guys.” Zack smiled. I think he was trying to break the awkwardness.

Alex nodded. “Morning!”

I smiled and waved, holding onto my backpack straps. “I’m going to head to class.”

Jack looked at me. “I can walk with you.”

I nodded and waved goodbye to everyone, starting to walk.

Jack glanced at me and held onto my hand. “How was your night?”

I looked at him and shook my head. ”Okay, I guess.”

He nodded and we got to my classroom.

I bit my lip. “I’ll see you at lunch, then.”

He nodded and kissed my cheek softly, walking away.

I walked into the classroom, sitting at the desk in the back. I watched Zack walk in and he sat next to me.

“He say anything?”

I shook my head. “I kind of wish he did.” I muttered.
