Twenty-Three

I woke up at noon to Mina's fussy cry. I put my hand behind her head before I sat up. I looked into her broght blue eyes and I somehow could tell that she was asking for food. I walked downstairs to the kitchen to get a bottle from the fridge and started warming it up. As I waited for the bottle to be ready I found a note on the fridge from Mir.
"I went to the store for more formula, diapers, and groceries. I'll be home in a couple hours," I read aloud. She left the note an hour ago, "Looks like it's just us Mina."
I gave Mina her formula and burped her like how Mir and Elizabeta had taught me. When we finished feeding time, I took Mina to my personal office. It was my music room and my space to do everything I wanted to in relation to the band. I had brought Mina's lounge pillow with me and set it down infront of my bean bag chair. I laid Mina down on her pillow before I grabbed my old acoustic guitar that I got with that Guitar Center card Mir got me for my birthday. I began tuning the old thing to Therapy and I started to play. Mina's eyes just glowed with joy at hearing me play. I was so happy to know my daughter loved to hear me play guitar. Mir had snuck in and took a seat behind Mina. That's when the unthinkable happened.
"Mir look at Mina," I continued to play as Mina started to sit up and move so she could try to crawl.
"Oh my god Jack," Mir was starting ot cry as she pulled out her phone to tape Mina's first crawl. I kept playing. I had to stop since Mina started hitting my guitar with her little fist.
"Come here baby girl," I put my guitar to the side and I put into my lap, resting her little head against me. Mina was all smiles, being in my lap. It was going to be hard leaving them behind again to get back on the tour.
"We're coming along Jack. Mina wouldn't be able to handle you leaving again," Mir announced, "I took Mina to the doctor the day before you came home and she cleared Mina for traveling across the country."
"I return to Baltimore. I am going to be moving out here to a suburb outside of LA so I can be close to my granddaughter and her wonderful parents," Elizabeta announced as she passed the office.

After the show I found Mir and Mina on the bus. Mir was setting up the crib in the back lounge so Mina could sleep back there.
"Hey waht about us? Don't we get a say about bringing a baby on board," Alex asked. Mir got pissed at him.
"Alex I am not getting a seperate bus so I can do my jobs," she was getting really mad at him.
"I was kidding Mir relax. Being a mom has killed your sense of humor. We will keep the partying on the crew bus so Mina can get her sleep," Mir punched him in the arm several times before she messed up his hair and pushed him.

Mina actually slepted through the night on the bus. She never cried, just made little whining noises. Mir always slept on the outside edge of the bunk so she could check on Mina. I slept soundly with knowing my family was with me on the road.
"Hey smiles," Mir greeted me after she finished putting Mina to bed.
"Hey," I greeted her with a kiss.
"Whatcha thinking about," she asked.
"I'm just happy to have you on the bus again with our little girl. It was six years ago we started our life of after high school togther in a van. Then we toured in a bus on Warped tour almost a year ago on the tour that I proposed to you after we concieved Mina. My life is so full of happy tour memories, I'm ready for more," I confessed to her.
"Me too," She agreed as she and cuddled together before sleep claimed us for the night.

Notes

This was very short but very cute. Little Mina is crawling and tapping into the collective. Before long she'll be walking and talking. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Thank you everyone that enjoys my story. Long Live Us is now 2 chapters away. The wait will be worth it.
