Twenty-One

I arrived back in LA with the guys really early the morning before we were supposed to get home at. Alex had Lisa come get us from the venue so I could get dropped off at home. Tomorrow night was a day off and a full moon, so I was going to stay home with Mir and Mina, hopefully teaching Mina how to be a wolf and get her walking after she turns.
Lisa and Alex dropped me off and I put my keys into the door. Instead of a quiet house with everyone sleeping, I find Mir with Mina on the couch watching some old videos of me on youtube. I tiptoe quietly to be behind Mir and surprise her. Mina gave me away when she smiled and giggled like a cute little two month old. Her blue blues were bright and her head was covered in my black hair.
"Welcome home daddy, she says," Mir translated the baby giggles.
"I'm early," I beamed as I kissed my tired wife on her cheek. I took my bag upsatirs quickly before I came back down to sit next to Mir and cuddle with her and Mina.
"I think she knew you'd be home tonight," Mir commented as she handed Mina to me so I could hold her. She had gotten so heavy since I held her last. I couldn't believe that I was hodling my little Mina.
"I'm going back to bed. I'll be up at nine and we can go out for breakfast okay. Then the three of us could go to the park with her and let her enjoy a stroll in her stroller," Mir kissed me softly before she went to go turn in for five more hours of sleep.
"Mommy's gone let's go cause some trouble. Rigth Bonnie," Bonnie barked quietly in agreement. I grabbed Mina's lounge pillow and blanket from by the door and the three of us went into the yard to enjoy the morning air.
I set Mina down on her blanket and pillow before I layed down next her. Mina started to reach for my hair before she started tugging in on it. Mina's baby tugs on my hair was nothing compared to the blood I had shed to get to this point in my life. Mina stopped tugging after a while. Out of the corner of my eye, Bonnie had perked her ears up. Mina released my hair and I sat up. That's when I heard footfalls rushing for my yard. I scooped up Mina quickly and took her inside. I set her into her bassinet in the living room and got myself prepared to protect Mina. That's when I saw it was Rian and Zack that were running. They got into my ktichen and started panting. Mir was up again and looked worried.
"What's wrong guys," I asked.
"It's Alex. Hunters snatched him up at Lisa's," Zack breathed.
"What about Lisa," Mir asked concerned.
"Matt's with her. She was shook up over it. She found the blood in the kitchen. He was in bed with her moments before he was taken. They left this," Rian handed me a note.
"'You allowed one of your wolves to procreate with my daughter. I will punish you and him what you have done. This offense will not stand. Mirela, Jack, and Cosmina Barakat will pay for their actions,' It's signed from Dorin Lupei," I was pissed. He had no right to take Alex for this. I was ready to kill him, "I'm going to kill him. i will not let my friend fall and I will protect my family."
"Be careful Jack. Mina needs her daddy," Mir said, knowing that I had to kill him.
"I will protect Mirela and the baby Jack. You boys go hunt Dorin. Bring Alex to me so I can treat him," Elizabeta was still here and I knew I could trust her. I took off my clothes and turned into my wolf. Zack and Rian followed suit and we ran out of the house, tracking Alex's scent to find him.

We arrived at an old shipping yard when the three of us lost Alex's scent in the many odors of the bay. I was not going to give up on him. Alex was my best man at my wedding and the godfather to my daughter. I had to find him.
"He has to be here," I yelled in fustration.
"We'll have to spilt up and try to find his scent trail here," Rian determined.
"Good idea. I'll check the far eastern side of the yard," Zack took off on his sweep.
"I'll take the central holdings. Rian you cover the north west sections," I ordered.
"You got it Jack," Rian agreed and he took to his search.
It was several hours later when a new voice came into my head.
"Daddy I love you," it was young and sound like a girl. That's when it hit me. It was Mina's mind reaching me. She was a part of the pack and she could talk to me here.
"Mina. Mina I need you to turn back. Do that for Daddy. I love you sweetheart," I didn't want her in my mind while I was doing this.
"I love you Daddy. Uncle Alex needs you. He told me he's in shipping crate 738BCD9," Mina's presence soon faded out of my mind

I found the crate Mina told me about. I picked up Alex's scent instantly. I had to get Rian and Zack here quickly.
"I found him guys. I need back up," I called out to them. They got to my right and left flank in an instant.
"Let's do this," the three of us busted the door open to find Dorin lashing Alex with the old whip.
"I won't tell you anything Lupei," Alex screamed. Me, Zack, and Rian started to growl at him. He turned around and he saw me at point.
"Attack," I shouted at Zack and Rian. They obeyed me without question.
"Jack get me loose. Be careful. The cuffs are silver," I bite the chains on the floor, breaking Alex free. He slumped forward to the floor. He looked too weak to stand.
"Jack we wounded him. I refuse to kill him," Zack informed me.
"Zack and Rian get Alex to my place to Elizabeta. I'll handle getting respect from my father-in-law," I started to turn back and I grabbed a towel from the floor and wrapped it around my waist before I grabbed Dorin by his shirt collar.
"You are a good for nothing monster Barakat," he snarled at me.
"I'm better than you. I'm letting you live. How dare you threaten my family and my pack. you are a complete idiot. I want you to understand that I have kept Mirela safe. I have never harmed her like you have. I've saved her life and she's saved mine. Our daughter is two months old now and she can get into the pack collective. Yeah she's a wolf like me. I want you to swear on your life to never come back into the country again and to let us live in peace," I was so close to just snapping his neck.
"You win Barakat. You can live in peace. I'll leave. If I find out the Mirela dies from being attacked by wolf, even if it's not you, I will end you," he sneered.
"I'll live with that deal. I couldn't live another day without Mirela breathing," I released him and handed him his cure vial before he ran off into the sunrise. I turned into my wofl again and ran home to my family, happy that I saved the day again.

DING DONG HE'S GONE! I'm happy to have Dorin finally out of the picture. I was sitting on this since te last time he popped up. Now I just have to do some fluffy Daddy Daughter bonding and then set up the pick up for Long Live Us. Thank you everyone.
