Fifteen

When both Lisa and Mir came out of the bathroom, the look on Mir's face was of pure panic. I stood up and strode over to her side.
"What's wrong Mir," I asked her.
"It's positive," she showed me the blue plus sign on the pregnancy test. How was it possible? I wore a condom and everything. I knew for a fact that we wanted to get married first before we'd start having kids. I wasn't ready to be a dad.
"Say something you idiot," Lisa yelled at me and I snapped out of my thoughts.
"How is it possible? I wore a condom," I stammered before I ran off the bus. The evening air was so chilling against my hot sweaty skin. I felt like throwing up. I saw so sick to my stomach. I was so scared.
I sat alone in a field for a long time until I noticed someone sit next to me. I turned my head to find Zack next to me.
"How are you taking this," he asked. He noticed hat I had tears in my eyes.
"How do you think I'm taking it," I asked him.
"She feels like it was her fault. She ran to your bunk and stated to cry. She was screaming at how she just fucked up everything with getting pregnant," his words was like a silver knife to my heart. It wasn't her fault. Things just happen and my reaction was horrible.
"Lisa's right. I'm an idiot," I put my face in my hands, crying for hurting her.
"Zack can I talk to him alone," I heard her voice and it was so eerie to hear her so calm after what he told what she did after I ran off.
Zack went back to the bus and left us in the field. She took Zack's spot. We sat in silence for the longest, until I decided to speak.
"I'm sorry for how I reacted. I'm just so scared right now. I'm confused on how it was possible. I'm sorry if I hurt you Mir," I looked at her, my tears still streaming down my cheeks.
"I'm scared too Jack," she was so calm it was scary, "We can do this together. We have eight and a half months to be ready. I want this baby and I want us to be the ones to raise it together."
"Then I have one thing to ask of you Mir," I stopped crying and I turned to face her fully.
"And what's that Jack," she asked.
"Will you marry me," I smiled and she did too.
"Of course I will Jack," she started to cry happy tears with me and we kissed and I wrapped my arms around her tightly.

Warped tour came to an end and all of us went home to LA so Mir and I could get married at home. She and planned it out so she could get her uncle to come out to walk her down the aisle. I even decide to dress in a tux and wore dress shoes instead of a pair of sneakers. Her uncle came into my room of the house where I was getting ready and looking over my vows. Mir was in a guest room getting herself ready.
"Jack it brings me great joy that my niece is so happy with you," he said as he entered my room.
"Thank you sir," I thanked him nervously.
"You will make a great husband for her. Though my family would be disgusted with your union and the child that grows in her womb, I want you to know that I am happy for the both of you," he was very kind and fatherly toward me. I know Mir told when she was a toddler and living in Romania, her uncle was the one she went to when she had nightmares.
"Thank you. I promise that I will protect her and make her happy," I told him.
"I know you will," when I looked at him, I saw a man that was more like an older cousin to Mir, not her uncle. She had told me he was a teenager when she was born. He was surprisingly wise beyond his years. That and I liked him since he was tolerant of what I was. That's always a bonus.

I was waiting in the backyard at the altar. Every one was getting seated. My parents flew in to witness their son marrying his high school sweetheart. Pride shined brightly in my day's eye and my mom was crying tears of joy for me.
The music started and the procession of the wedding party started. Joe led the procession as a groomsmen, his girlfriend was on his arm as a bridesmaid. Lisa walked in next on Zack's arm. Rian and Matt were ushers and had their girlfriends on their arms as bridesmaids. Soon my best man, Alex, walked in with May on his arm as the maid of honor.
Then the time had come. The music changed and the guests rose. I stiffened and I started to feel so nervous. My palms started sweating and I could feel them starting to shake. Alex put a reassuring hand on my shoulder and he smiled at me. I was happy to be doing this with my best friends at my side. The back door opened and Mirela was revealed, her white gown was amazing. She had a strapless, sweetheart neckline corset bodice that was attached to a long, voluminous ball gown skirt. She held on tightly to her uncle's arm with her right hand and a beautiful white rose bouquet was in her left. Around her neck was the necklace I got her months ago. Her black hair was curled loosely and pinned half up by her veil. When our eyes locked onto each others and we smiled brightly. Each step brought her closer to me, making my heart race faster and faster with each step she took. Her uncle and I did the blessing hand off and when I took her hand from him, both of our hands started to shake. Then it came time for the vows. Mir went first.
"Jack, we have know each other since I moved to Baltimore from Bucharest. We've been best friends ever since. We fell in love together during our senior year of high school and we haven't been apart since. We have experienced so much and we know there is more to come. Today will mark the start of rest of our lives and will followed by the start of our family. I know now more than ever that I truly love you with my heart and soul," she was crying happy tears. I knew that my vow was going to make her bawl.
"Mirela I have been in love with you all my life. When I first met you, you spoke little English but I knew some of what you were trying to say. We went to our first concert together. We shared our first kiss together at Lisa's 13th birthday party when we played 7 minutes in heaven. We went to homecoming and prom together. You went on our first tour after high school. Now we're getting married and getting ready to welcome our first baby together. I am so happy and in love with you that I cannot put words to describe it. We make me feel like I'm on fire when we kiss and I feel electricity flow through me when we hold our hands. I cannot imagine living the rest of my life anyone other than you. You are my world and my universe. With these vows I make a promise that you will never be alone or scared again. I love you Mirela Crina," I called it, she lost it. Hell, I lost it too. We walked through the I do's and the moment had been waiting for arrived.
"With the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," I pulled Mir to me and I kissed her deeply and I felt time stop in that moment. Everyone cheered for us. When we had parted, I saw Mir's mom by the gate of our yard crying. I looked to my mom and dad, they too were crying. I looked at Alex and he was tearing up. May was smiling and crying.

Notes

AWWW.... Jack is such a doll. I was trying not to tear up when I wrote this chapter. The next four chapters after this are all Jack and how he experiences getting ready to be a daddy. I will not revel the gender of the baby until the baby is born. I have to keep you guys surprised.
